If LeBron and Wade are off the market, then I can live with this too. Although I'd still prefer a long/big body.

Thats retarded cause Amare would have to play center which he's not.. At PF, you either pick Lee or Amare. You can't have both..

let's say you do that, where Gallo plays even if you still get Lebron??

It would be similar to what Denver does with k mart and nene. It could work if we canbring a shot blocker off the bench when needed. Hopefully the deal for Jerome Jordan wasn't just a rumor

Well if we get Amare and Lee, you wont be able to get LeBron with the used up caproom. But this would be for in case LeBron decides not to sign with us anyway, which isn't that bad.

And Stouds would play center, as he did under D'Antoni with the Suns. Is this lineup really that bad?

Thats why I wanted whiteside with jordan so we can run in two shot blocking athletic 7 footers for the spells. But this is a tough line up to match up with

That's not how it works. We have to build a team. Lee-Amare as a front court would be dominated defensively every night.

A maxed out Lee/Amar'e front court with No Nash and neither play a lick of D....

Ok if this is what we waited 2yrs for let's see where it takes us because we're talking building a championship team here.

it's so hard to let go of the idea of Lee as a Knicks player and I get that I love David Lee, but David Lee is not a center

Marcus Camby is a center

Dwight Howard is a center

Andrew Bynum on one leg is a center

The Center is defacto. A lot of teams don't play whats traditionally a center anyway. Lineup definitions have changed.

I think Lee can play with Amare because both play well off the ball. Lee plays a good high post. Lee's development of his jumper and his passing ability IMO means he can complement any other big man he plays with. My only concern is defense.

The team is supposed to be built on speed. I wish we were able to acquire more mix and match 7 footers but we do have Jordan. You are putting two potential 20-10 players with another guy who can be 20-6 on the frontline with diverse skills Id rather have Chris Bosh than Amare but it doesnt appears likely. would you rather play with just one big? that is the worst answer of all--you cannot win that way in the NBA.

How can you not tell that they'd be able to play together? Amare is a better scorer, but both can shoot a little, both can play in the post. Lee is an excellent passer. Both play off the ball well. Amare is more of a crunchtime player. There would be no beeotching for the ball.

The defense would depend solely on them improving. They both would HAVE to do that. No choice.
