I've been following ultimateknicks.com for well over a year and been lurking on the forums for several months now. I've posted a couple replies only to come to the realization that none of them were being published since my account was locked (Thanks Martin for unlocking). At the encouragement of Martin here's my "I'm-new-here" thread; just wanted to say Hi to everybody. Every single member here, it seems, is a super forum guru w/ a post count in the thousands. Talk about being a minnow among sharks.

I've been a Knick fan for life, ever since I was graced with Ewing sneakers as a kid (which I pronounced "E-wing" instead of "You-wing"). I'm 25 so I didn't get to witness the championship years with smooth Walt Clyde Frazier, but I did get to watch one of the greats, Patrick (albeit in his declining years) and watch the franchise shift to Sprewell, H2O and L-J. It's a pity that my fanboy-ism was growing at a time when we had players like Clarence Weatherspoon, Othella Harrington, Lavor Postell, Chris Dudley, Maciej Lampe, Howard Eisley, etc.

At the start of every pre-season, regardless of how terrible the Knicks were the last year, I still get excited to see how the team will perform. Even without a playoff visit in years, every summer I still envision the team getting off to a great start. Can't help it, love this team too damn much. I spent the majority of my teen years living in NJ and would never hop the bandwagon, even when the Nets went to the finals with their JKidd/Van Horn/Kittles/K-Mart tandem. Maybe because their jerseys are just too ugly? And yes, I left Todd MacCulloch off that list.

I'm either joining this forum at the start of a new dynasty, or (more likely), the extension of another era of mediocrity, yielding to superior teams with more firepower. Reeally hoping for the former.

Btw, what's an Alba post?

Nice place to visit but I refuse to post- I always try to reject peer pressure.

Some nice talent to be looked at, though.

Coming on at a rather interesting moment in the team's history, I might add.

You did the right thing by studying the site for a year before posting. You don't want to rush into something like this. (Although I find your ignorance of Alba posting troubling.) I hope you practiced writing posts. I would think you'd need about 50 hours of post writing practice to be able to post properly on this board.
