Walker demonstrated elite ability in college and showed flashes of expert dexterity during his Knicks cameo. The only question mark has been the condition of his titanium knees

If Walker could hold down the shooting guard position it would provide stability at a position the Knicks have struggled with since the healthy days of Allan Houston. At 6'7 he brings length, a dependabe outside shot and the ability to finish in heavy traffic. He understands the angles and can make adjustments on defense

The reported weight loss is good news. I look forward to seeing how much work he invests over the summer. Forget Joe Johnson.

Danilo Gallinari will be an All Star by 2012

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Walker is our make or break?

I don't see that.

He did some nice things. I wish I could shove his aggression into Chandler. He also does some dumb things: He can be a hot head and it leads to just silly purposeful fouls and flagrants.

Yet again I do like what I see from him and if we score he's going to be a great 7-9 man in the rotation.

As to yet again our scrubs from past (bender) and our draft pick scrubs (rautins) and some summer league invitee... well, counting on them to be anything more than a headline starting with "Knicks waive...." would be silly.

Also must say I want to see how Barron performs this coming year. He also showed some nice things but also some dumb things.

To keep realistic, these guys were hungry, they were doing it on a really bad team, and doing it on a team whose veteran players had already given up. So they looked real good out there.

You still have to put the ball in the basket but let's just be realistic - every bad team has some guy lighting it up. They're still a bad team though. There's good reason for that. When your scrubs, walkons, unknowns are leading the way? And you're a terrible team? I don't care how good those players look in the moment the truth is they stink and that's why the team stinks.

You just got to remember that.

Still, there is promise in Barron and Walker. Maybe the other three show something as well. Not counting on it.

I'm somewhere in between on this... he's an elite shooting talent, there's no doubt, but he's also tall enough to be a power forward. To make the All Star team a few times he'll have to rebound at least as well as Jamison. To make it every year he'll have to rebound like Dirk

If we miss out on Lebron, yea, a lot is going to have to depend on guys like Walker and Gallo turning around and reaching the fullest of their potentials.

I look at his skill set and I think he's a better Rashard Lewis (with some cojones). He wont force offense so he will probably score 18-20ppg, 6 rebs, 5 assists and a block a game. He plays very hard on defense and find the open man with the pass. Good ball handling skills and he likes to take big shots.

He may or may not make all star games. I doubt it because he's not a stat stuffer, he's a winner.

Walker has had some pretty serious knee injuries and has been able to come back and play at a high level. I don't think he is a guy that you can count on being a part of the solution until he has a full, healthy season. I am hoping he turns out to be a guy like Kurt Thomas in his recovery.

I think there's a misconception about an agressive player, and a player who who has an agressive personality, i think chandler is agressive for the most part (allan houston agressive)he just doesn't have an aggressive personality.

You can be a "winner" and still play on a losing team, bro. He is talking about his priorities on the court, and the fact that he is willing to play team oriented ball and put out a maximum effort in certain areas of the game- particularly defense, that may not show up on the stat sheet.

If you watched the Knicks last year you will know what he is talking about. I think that Douglas is a similar kind of player.

For what it is worth, Rautins and Fields, whether or not they were the "best" players available at the time, also possess (and this is mostly based on what I have read), some of the qualities that we associate with players who are commonly called "winners."

If I had the luxury of building a winning team with "winners" I would just buy the Lakers. Cant do that however, so I need to find my own guys. I'm looking for guys who are dedicated to improving their games. Who have skills that fit in a team concept and make others better. I want guys who are efficient and skilled in as many areas as possible. I want guys who play like winning is the most important thing, not their stats or fancy plays.

Basically I want guys with size, skill and a team mentality.

To me Gallo is that kind of guy. I think he's a good player. I dont know if he will ever be an all star or a great player but I like what he brings both as a player and a prospect.

I know there's a lot of disappointment regarding those picks but i wasn't for similar reasons... I think they'll be effective roleplayers for similar reasons. Not to mention, the Knicks couldn't really afford to strike out on these picks. They needed to make contact and hit singles.

I like Gallo's attitude or, alternatively, his swagger. That article compiles some of his best quotes. Crawford proved talk is cheap but I absolutely loved that Nuggets/Knicks game because of how Gallo rose to the occasion
