He went out and hired the ONE coach more laid back and with LESS authority than Don Chaney!

Agreed he was joke in Toronto

He is a really good man just like Don Chaney

But wrong coach for NYK

Lenny should stay retiriede as he's out of touch with young players

who do u want Mike fratello, Doc rivers, brendan malone? What have they accomplished? At least this guy is a hall of fame coach, the winniest in NBA history!

think about this...in the last two decades, besides Riley (and JVG if you wanna stretch it)...have we ever had a coach with as high a reputation as Wilkins? Hubie, Pitino, McLoud, Stu Jax, Nelson, Chaney...I mean cmon, we've had some terrible coaches. This SHOULD be one of the better eras in Knick coaching.

Unless you coach the all-time greats in the NBA (Kareem, Magic, Jordan, Bird, Shaq, Kobe), you're going to lose a lot of games.

Fratello = defense and iron fist (probably iron lunging too, but that's besides the point).

Malone = Trash

Doc Rivers = Decent coach, would have stolen some spotlight, as would have the Czar from GM Thomas. Thomas is not gonna let that happen.

Paul Westphal would have been decent. There are a lot of guys out there who would have been decent... Not Wilkens.

As a NYK coach, you need to demand respect, not be laid back.

Wilkens has been a joke for years

Raptors improved right away on his exit

with a defensive coach like Keven O Niel A former Knick assitant

We should have hiried him this past summer

LOL Zeke & Laydan both don't have a clue

As a coach you automatically get your player's respect if you're a proven winner and Len is at the top of the winners list. I don't want to hear any comparisons between Chaney and Lenny. Chaney doesn't have respect because he's a loser and isn't a smart coach.

because they were losing and Oak likes to run his mouth. I like to see him try and become the winniest NBA coach of alltime. What Lenny is overrated? He had all that success without MJ, Larry, Magic. He did it with Steve Smith and Mutombo in Atlanta.
