What a boring draft. No crying, no big names really dropping with any drama, no international intrigue, and no KNick picks. 14-20 age male mental midgets in the stands is getting old. Red eyed teens Slugging beers mugging for the camera.

Reading the reviews around here its typical: "old man fell asleep at the switch last night" kind of crap.

Basically its a weird fraft filled with 6-10 guys that can pick up dimes without bending over (aka: huge wingspans) and seemling if your not underweight then you need to be "in better shape" cuz your over weight.

I think its really cool what Miami is doing but don't they need a bench and a few players to go with 3 max players?

Chicago worries me but can they really sign two max players to go with Noah-Deng-Rose? Deng is going to be hard to move but they can mortgage the future and do it. Isiah showed us with money you can do anything. I guess that is why they are the favorite. While Thibs is hardley a rookie Reisndorf and his front office are some strange cats. This should play out intersting.

Somehow Gallo-Chandler does not look so bad and we have Eddy's deal coming off in a year. Of all we have a great coach who has proven to install a turbocharged offense with the proper personel.

BTW, I only know what I read. I, like most have no knowlege about teams situation nor can project what is going to happen.

I applaud Chicgo-Miami and the knicks for trying. Someone is gonna get smoked.

From what I see, in two years its the Nets and THunder in the finals. Oklahoma is doing it the right way.

It is logical the nets build it good for lebron in 2-3 years. No need to Starphuch it now. Its all about Brooklyn for them.

What I hope and think will happen are not one and the same. KNick fans get thier hopes up too much. It never goes down like you think it will. I have hope even without lebron. Plan B will be interesting. Or "C", or "D".

I know on paper teams can look good but its the games that count. I doubt the old man is sleeping.

Can Miami really pull this off with no bench?

Uh oh...(from RealGM):

A well-informed source told Newsday that Maverick Carter, a long-time friend to LeBron James, does not want James to wind up in New York with the Knicks.

The Knicks are reaching out to William Wesley but he reportedly does not have nearly the influence that Carter has over James.

An NBA source told Newsday that Chris Bosh is the Heat's first choice among free-agent power forwards.

Carlos Boozer is Miami's second choice and Ama're Stoudemire is third.

Is this the further unraveling of Plan A? That tidbit about Maverick Carter doesn't really sound like something a blogger invented to f*&k with NY. I really hope we don't come out high and dry on this FA masquerade.

I'd be really interested in why Mav Carter does not want NY?

Im sure he likes being a big fish in a small pond but this is Lebrons gig. We hope.

If boring is good, then Walsh is doing a great job.

HOw do we get pissed off about a swap we don't know will be of consequence to us.

The "Isiah like logic" is that the better we do the less important the pick is.

Anyone think Gordan Haywood was a "community" pick for Utah?

But like they said, Utah is never bad!!!

I wonder if Indiana was gonna pick him next.

I just think that Mike and Donnie never were on the same page. The Knicks really needed to tank the season when they had a pick and add a franchise piece through the draft.

Lee not being signed was just plain stupid. you could have had him at a discount and at least got picks out of the deal. And not playing Jordan Hill the entire season when we had no bigs and getting fleeced in a deal was downright stupid.

And why we didn't buy a pick in the second round to get whiteside and at least take a chance on a project that protect the rim was puzzling.

Bosh is the guy they really have to go hard. He wants to be the man and the knicks are the only team in market that really gives it to him. Lebron isn't up to the challenge, time to move on.

Real Knicks fans wants results , not pipe dreams. We want Guarantee's like before the draft in 1985 and grabbing Ewing.

There has been a shift in the NBA circles and the knicks seem to be told " James Dolan take your ball and go home".

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

20-20 hindsight is great to have.

DLee was not an allstar and at that time the goal was/is max cap space. We don't know what he wanted. We can only guess.

Jordan HIll did not show any prowess early that he was ready for full prime time starting. With no pick this year tanking is not a priority.

Whiteside has bad ADD. He fell for a reason.

You speak to Bosh or just reading what everyone else does?

Bosh is keeping his options open and letting everyone know he is his own man. Also the bottom line is there is no "summit" meeting because these guys all want the best deal.

Someone wants to play in NY.

If Walsh blows his one chance at Lebron because he locked up Dlee and Dlee had just a "good" season than that would be "STUPID" also.

You gotta try. Might not happen but you gotta make a run for Lebron and Bosh.

i've been wondering about this. is the league trying to force dolan to sell? the draft telecast NEVER mentioned the knicks as one of the teams who have cap room - even though they are the only team with two max slots. the bulls are $4M short of a second max. the heat are $7M short of a second max (or third if you count wade's slot).

it really seems like ESPN and possibly more folks in the media are telling the knicks, "we like you being irrelevant."

Leave no conspiracy theory untouched.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

No conspiracy needed. The Knicks did this to themselves.

KNicks are still the second most valuable property in the NBA. Sterns works for the leagues owners. His job is to maximize the value of each franchise.

What could a new owner do different than Dolan?
