I dont want to make 1 million threads leading up to the draft.
Less than 72 hours before the NBA draft, all 30 teams are quietly going about their business, making all important last-minute decisions.
But while the focus is on Thursday night's draft, a spate of teams also are working feverishly on consummating a trade or two.
The Milwaukee Bucks are one of them.

Bucks officials have publicly acknowledged they have had trade conversations with some teams in recent weeks, but haven't divulge the specifics of them.
There was word last week the Bucks had interest in forward Andres Nocioni, but he wound up being included in a multi-player trade package from Sacramento to Philadelphia.
Now there's some chatter on the NBA grapevine the Bucks may be interested in another small forward - Corey Maggette of the Golden State Warriors.

It's no secret the Warriors have Maggette on the trading block - even though he is coming off a quality season in which he was the Warriors' second-leading scorer at 19.8 points a game.
He also averaged 5.3 rebounds.

But Maggette has a fairly hefty contract - he still has three years, $31 million remaining on it - and the money-conscious Warriors would like to unload it.
The speculation is the Bucks are offering the Warriors center Dan Gadzuric, who has one year left on his contract for $7.4M, and guard Charlie Bell ($3.8M).
The Bucks are also shopping veteran guard Michael Redd, who will be entering the final year of his contract ($18.3M).

See a team can make these type of deals when they have a Center and PG in place. Jennings feeding Maggette sends chills down my spine. I guess Salmons is going BYE BYE.

Oh and I posted this in the Knick section because this basically shows that Golden State is willing to trade ANYONE not named Stephen Curry.

Then this poses a problem, as the only one we seem to covet is Curry.

from RealGM:
The Heat are willing to sell the 18th pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, according to league sources.

"They want to sell it to clear cap space," one Western Conference executive told Yahoo! Sports.

#18 could really help us in the draft.

I think they would like to keep him but he just opted out of his deal.

Salmons seem to play for the 2nd half of the season after being traded. Maggette has been consistent his entire career. The Bucks were killed this year because their wing players were inconsistent(Delfino and Bell). Maggette is good at getting to line and has a good mid range game.

Wesley Johnson + David Lee or Carlos Boozer to their roster would go well with what they currently have.

I think Lee is a perfect fit for them. They might over pay a bit but Lee is low risk for what he brings to a team. Thorn is a smart guy. He will target someone attainable that can significantly improve their team and get him.

Lee fits well with them cuz they already have a shotblocking C with size in the paint... Lee's passing ability will work very well on that team cuz it can free up Devin Harris to play more off the ball at times, & adding a long range shooter like Wesley Johnson adds another weapon for that team... if the Knicks already had a C like a Lopez or Bynum i would be all for keeping Lee on a longterm deal... as it stands i wouldn't even mind him staying if we could add OK4 to the roster, but only AFTER we find out what Lebron & Bosh's plans are this summer.

Eny just posted that the Nets traded CDR to the Bucks for a second round pick. Wow. CDR for a second round pick?

I haven't read any confirmation or seen which pick but I know the Bucks have the 37th pick. Is there someone that projects as being available at that point in the draft that is better than CDR? The Nets have 3 picks before this so I think this move is for cap cutting reasons and to stash a guy in Europe. Thorn could go out and punk the Knicks again in the draft but he is working for an owner now that will spend money and Thorn will make sure it is spent in a smart fashion.

"The reported offers for Paul have been rich in talent. Orlando has reportedly offered Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter, though Magic GM Otis Smith denied it. And New Jersey, which has had several discussions with the Hornets, has reportedly offered Devin Harris and the No. 3 pick in Thursday's draft. Both trades would give the Hornets good talent and save them money long-term."

Looks like Kahn is after more first round picks -these two would give him 4(?) in ther first?

Surely DW can talk his bud into one of these for some cash
