They'd take it, but I know Stern would rather see Wade/Amare in the Chi. Miami fans are just too dispassionate.
NBA execs must have just wanted an excuse to go to Florida a few times a year. There is no good reason why they needed two expansion franchises in Florida in the late-80s.
Those Ewing 90s era battles with Alonzo and Hardaway were so great.
Wade/Amare in Miami and Rose/Boozer or Lee in Chitown will make the EC an amazing draw on television for years to come (i.e., once Lebron and Bosh are in NY). If anything else, it will accomplish Stern's goal of making the EC relevant in the post-Boston era that is fast approaching.
Now with Amare out of Phoenix, it's all but written on a wall in Times Square that Nash will decide to grab his chip with the Knicks for a vet minimum (after this contract expires). Or maybe we S&T Chandler for him. Dude ain't no foo. He don't need a new contract in Arizona. The man loves NYC, that's why he lives here. And he wants his chip before it's all done for him.
Here ya go:
Nash
Lebron
Gallo
Bosh
A defensive 5 (from draft or a trade involving Curry's expiring, e.g. OK4 or a big who excels in the P&R)
TD and Walker off the bench with the new rooks. That team makes the finals annually during their prime years, and we buy ourselves a year or two to find our PG of the future. Nash knows MDA's system better than MDA.
