He had a very reasonable season--maybe in line for something like 5 years 22mm or so. His lack of effort inside and the collapse of his jumpshot is frightening. He's more like 2 years 6 mm 3-10 at most

yea, but his problem has always been what you stated years ago brigs.. make him put the ball on the floor once and you limit his effectiveness completely!!

Yep he is shooting himself out of a contract.Amare had a monster game tonight,I really would not be upset signing him and putting him next to Okafor or anyone of the centers from GS that are in the dog house Biendres or Ronny T he has an unreal motor and is a decent shotblocker.5 and 5 and 1.3 blocks and 2 assits in 20 minutes for Ronny and Im sure he doesnt have any plays called for him.6'10" and a cheap contract and like I said his motor is unreal,we could use a player like that under Mike his stats would sky rocket.

I complained about the Frye pick from the moment Isiah made him a promise. There was a reason he was initially projected to go late first round. Say what you want about Isiah's drafting (I'm not a fan), but it's hard to argue anything other than the Frye pick was downright awful.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Channing Frye stinks. I really hope Donnie Walsh completely ignores Mike D'Antoni. You know Pringles will beg for Frye this summer.

Frye was a real good rookie.

Mourning shattered his confidence for whatever reason that one game that Frye kept getting blocked and then dunked on by Zo. That was the beginning of the end. Why I don't know but I remember that being a big moment in Frye's life.

Then Nate chucked some Craptor into his knee and then you had the Jefferson/Frye boyfriend rumors and whatnot....and Frye fell off a cliff.

Looked good in Phoenix but as pointed out he's pretty much just a one dimensional jump shooter who if pressed turns into trash in a hurry.

Frye seems to panic and rush his jumpers - moreso if he's getting beat on defense.

I wouldn't sign him. He's a nice guy, but deeply flawed as a center.

Frye is jacking up shots without purpose. He isn't even looking at where the basket is basically throwing the ball in the vicinity of the basket hoping to get lucky. Every time the Lakers make a run Frye is on the floor he is basically shooting the team in the foot.

Wow, the guy is having a bad series and he's now toast. We down to the final 4 and we talking about some teams and players like they are bums. Amare has a good game and now he is a god again.

In the End the Lakers and Celtics, WINNERS of last two "Chips" are going to duke it out again.

Frye was a part of what got them this far. A FINAL Four Team!!!!!!

Someone is going to pay Brian Cook 2.0 some cash. He will probably get close to the MLE. I wouldn't mind having him back for the right price. The guy isnt a scrub he just didnt live up to being the 8th pick. I think D'Antoni could inflate his stats for sure.

Dude did the same thing with the KNicks as everyone said. He had that injury and then things changed. His confidence is very fragile- thats why everyone called him soft in college.

seems like just a few weeks ago people were talking about signing Channing Frye to be our starting C this summer... actually it was just a few weeks ago.

agreed... so sick of watching the red carpet being laid out every game into the paint... we need an enforcer in the middle.

Channing has a bunch of talent, but the dude melts under pressure. You could literally see it as the game progressed. If Frye had some b*lls he would be on a Rasheed Wallace level; he is that talented. He just plays without the intensity, determination, and confidence needed to excel in a playoff environment.

Trust the Process

What I don't understand is why he rushes his shots. No one is going to block his shot from 3 point line he is 6'11. He needs to calm down and shoot it like it practice.

Exactly and he is also one dimensional.
