I cant stand the Celtics
cant stand those old Knick foes and rivalries. Celtics in Atlantic division as Knicks will outlive
us all.

Traditional the only other Knick foe was Washington/Baltimore Bullets which died when
Monroe became a Knick.

Cant stand them then and dislike them more now than ever.
Coc_ky as ever the Garnett, Pierce even Glen Baby shaq is arrogant. I dont even like Doc Rivers
ex knick anymore. Never liked Ainge as player and GM though he got job done there.

Heat disappoint me and some here may say they recall the old Heat and Pacer wars with good elite
Knick teams and feel nothing for Miami worst.

But let me tell you when Miami wins 2nd title its Knicks 2 and Miami 1 nba title.
Pacers and Miami no longer are threats much less rivalries to Knicks, at least until NY gets good.

However Boston is another story.
Celtics traditionally hate the Knicks. Lakers rivalry was lost when NY stopped playing LA 4 times
per year. I dont like Lakers past or present but their was no REAL rivalry with NY or dislike.

If you are real Knick fan, Celtics losing is like a win for Knicks fans.
Pierce, all their dirty players thrash verbally the whole east conf. teams is reason why 1/2 of the
Conference HATEs the Boston Celtics.

Well they'd get out of this round perhaps Wade Leaves Miami ? comes to NY so getting swept may
not be bad but I was pulling for Miami. Imagine pulling for a Pat Riley team.

Celtics fans will never ever respect NY hope you get chance to see NY one day beat Celtics

I didn't puke at all. Screw the Heat and screw Wade. I'm happy to see them fail miserably, even if it's to the Celtics.

I got more beef with the Heat than the Celts too, but that may just be showing the era when I came up as a Knicks fan, in the Riley/Van Gundy era. Like you said, Heat only need one more trophy to match our total. We are an NBA founding franchise, the Heat franchise only became legal to drink a year or two ago.

Ain't no way we gonna match the Celtics in my lifetime. I went to a Boston-Heat game couple years ago in the season the Celts won and there ain't nothin' but world championship banners hanging in their Garden... no Eastern Conference banners, no Atlantic Division banners. There's no room.

But if Miami gets their third before we get ours, I will be pissed. Then I'll cry.

The knicks don't win but they go to the finals a lot more often then other teams... Well they used to atleast

the knicks have been to the finals 8 times only the celtics, lakers, and sixers have been more times then that, not to mention less then 20 teams in the NBA have won a championship. even less have won 2 and I haven't even mentioned how many times the knicks have been to the conf. Finals

this team is nearing 40 years with only 1 title, and 2 other finals runs. unless you are in your mid to late 40s you have no mem of a champ knicks team. look, the bulls, pistons, spurs have all won more titles then the knicks... the flippin nyets have as many finals losses in the past 30 years as the knicks.

What's your point? I get it the knicks haven't been good for a while but I was under the influence this was a forum for knicks fans yet most of the time all I read is people dissing the knicks. Where'd the loyalty go? I'm young so the only knicks playoff game I've seen was a recording yet I'm still supportive. If you want to know why the knicks are a storied franchise then why don't you look up how many times the knicks have made the playoffs in their entire history and then compare that to every other team in the league, which would be hard to do because only a few of them have been around as long as the knicks have. This has been the worst decade in their history and because of that I think everyone has forgotten this so I'll remind everyone: LOSING IS NOT THE NORM IN NEW YORK

point --> ny at the college and pro level isnt the mecca it once was (hence my agreement with knicks1248).

what do you expect folks to say right now? how great it is to lose 50? if we didnt give a poop, no one would be here. folks are looking for better times... i would agree with you more if they had just a few down years in a row, unfortunately they have been trending down for as you noted 10 years. it isnt fun to watch, and yet, folks still post in game threads... most times its just hoping some of the younger guys are doing well. as noted, folks are looking for something to root for. hope this summer provides the elite talent boost to make this team relevant again.

Mecca isn't about pro teams. It's about where many basketball stars have been born and raised and it's about the famed Rucker Park.

Lil meccas? No....nothing compares to New York. Everyone still recognizes that and the history of NY. The greatest player in the game was born in Brooklyn. That's enough for me.

not a comparison -- regions are building up their own histories with local guys to look up to. dc-balt has kd, carmelo to name just a few recent cats. things are changing/have changed for folks outside of ny.

I would have liked it if the Celtics swept the Heat. Then it would be easy for Wade to say good-bye to Miami as he realizes they don't have a team that can win a championship. Unfortunately the Heat won today, mainly due to Wade scoring 46 points. I hope Boston wins game 5 and the Heat are eliminated and Wade will hopefully sign here.

I have to second this. I don't have love for either team and my disdain goes back and forth, depending whose in the lead. As a matter of fact, i'm pretty pissed off that the Cavs are playing well too.

You aint no real knick fan then so ..go on

You dont even know in the old Celtics Knick playoff wars at Boston Garden when Knicks played the Celtics org
used to raise up the temparatures in Knicks players lockeroom > 90 degrees as a psyche tool to get into knicks
minds.

Knicks team used to request adjustments but it didnt matter
when Knicks beat Celtics in east conf finals in Game #7 at boston garden it was too sweet to put in words.

You going on wasting yo' time hating the Heat whom were born into the league in late 70's or somewhere in 80s.

I dont care for HEAT either and Pacers were from ABA.
No one I know in NY area whom are Knicks fans forgets the Boston Celtics.
