If the top 10 protection that kept us from giving up the pick to Utah haunts us this year if we land in the top 3, instead of giving up the #8 pick last year?

dont mean to hijack this thread, but taking the way-back machine back about a decade and I would have loved to see a front line of Nene and Camby for the last decade.

And imagine if we'd drafted Ron Artest, too.

Artest has been nightmare, and hasn't accomplished jack. Crazier than Marbury.

I was being facetious. That said, I have a feeling he'll get a ring this year.

Artest sporting the Rodman hair for Phil jax is great!

Phil knows how to handle head case's. Give him due, Phil won 3 more with Crazy Dennis. Rodman himself has 5 rings. FIVE!!!!!

Durant looked like a weak little kid in his playoff debut. Does Durant play good defense? We talk about DLee looking not cut but this kid looks skinny. Lead the league is scoring but no defense?

Don't discredit Kobe's impact on Artest, which essentially is the same impact jordan had on Rodman.

You remember when Rodman had a chance to do some good things in san an, he nobody policing him and was complete nut case, taking of his shoe's on the bench, kicking camara men..

Please correct me if I am wrong but I don't think giving up the #8 pick was our choice to make last year. Either the pick falls within the scope of marbury trade parameters or it didn't. There was no "choice" to make as we were stuck with the pick unless it was 11 or below to send to Utah.

Never said that we had a choice. All I'm saying is that the "protection" would have screwed us in the end, as any pick before now would have been a lower pick -- should we get one of the top 3 picks in the lotto.

I hear ya Panos. If that pick somehow ends up in the top 3, it will hurt big time.

I'm not even trying to think about that, but whatever pick Utah secures it will be a fitting end to another miserable season.

That said, if we would have handled the '09 draft better we wouldnt be thinking about this as much.

Man, unless something changes this summer, this team has been one big 10 year toxic milk spill.
