Embattled Eddy Curry told The Post he hopes the Knicks waive him if he is not in their plans for next season.

The Knicks' star-crossed center, who has played 10 games in two seasons, said he would not take less money to go away.

"I'm not taking a buyout, so that's not happening," Curry told The Post. "Definitely not. They can try to trade me if they wanted to. I hope it doesn't come to that.

"But I would just hope that if it came down to it, especially going into a contract year, that if [coach Mike D'Antoni] knows this wasn't the right place for me, they would make the right decision. Other than that, I'll do everything I can to be ready."

The Knicks will look for a starting center in the free-agent market. In addition to Marcus Camby, they may court Brad Miller, who played for Knicks team president Donnie Walsh in Indiana.

In perhaps his last act as a Knick, Curry forgot his passport on their season-ending trip to Toronto earlier this week, according to sources. Curry would like to forget his past two seasons.

"It's definitely been tough, everything I've had to deal with," Curry said. "But I think it will make me a stronger person. With all the negativity I had to deal with the past two years, a lot of unforeseen events, I got to imagine this is going to be a great year for me next year."

The Knicks can not count on anything from Curry next season and he is viewed as a trade chip, if not a buyout candidate. He will have an expiring contract worth $11.2 million. A team looking to open cap space for 2011 could trade a solid player with a long-term deal for Curry.

If Donnie Walsh cannot trade Eddy Curry this summer, please just ban him from the team. Don't even buy him out. Let this fat bastard continue to balloon himself into the next Manuel Uribe. The nerve of this loser! Stole his entire salary the last 2 years and acts like he's the victim!

Yeah I wouldn't give him any leniency in this matter. He's sat on the bench for the last 2 years, he can sit another one. Besides, his expiring deal could be used to get something

This man is a disgrace. Shut your mouth, fool! Why the **** should the Knicks do him any favors?! He is so disconnected from reality.

I heard that he mistakenly packed a small package of ham or some other sandwich meat, instead of his passport, in his carry-on bag.

LOL at Curry not willing to take a penny less. Sadly we cannot do anything. This actually makes Curry slightly less tradeable because teams know he isn't willing to take a buyout. Curry seems to like sitting on the bench anyway.

Curry and Lebron have the same agent too.

Will our GM "TOUCH IT" as in push this situation where it could get real ugly?

Eddy Curry should be ashamed of himself... Here is a guy that has been paid millions to do nothing. He had 1 good year.. thats it. He is an Overweight, Underachiever! As far as I'm concerned he should be all too willing to negotiate a buyout.. He's been collecting a check for years, and hasn't lived up to the worth of his contract.

No buyout? Then rot on the bench for another season.. WHO CARES? Unless a team is gonna view him as an expiring, I could give two craps about his feelings in regards to playing. NO ONE views him as a talent anymore. He should keep his mouth shut, IMO

At least MDA was here to take the embarrassment for the full 2 years. Curry has been able to go back and fatten up on Shrimp Linguini every year. He's just been collecting checks with his feet up. Don't even try to compare the two. Curry has played in only 69 games over the last 3 seasons!!! 69 GAMES!!! That's insane! How many games has he even been healthy enough to actually play? This guy doesn't deserve and pity or understanding at this point. He should feel shame and a desire to try and pay the fans back for slacking and getting fat every off season instead of working hard to earn his money.

The very definition of a "douchebag". Go away, fat ass.

Still, if he won't accept a buyout, then we will trade his worthless expiring deal to a team that is shooting for 2011 FA class. Eddy is retarded.

I can see it now, we trade him at the deadline to some loser team and he'll put up 10 and 10 and some of you will blame MDA..........

What dumb fat eddy is doing is killing his NBA career. THe dumb phuch could take 2 mil off, get a buy out, get in shape and earn the 2mil on a team that suits his game. MAYBE he can get another mid level contract.

Have fun in China Eddy, you dumb idiot. Save you money cuz you gonna need it.

E-Fatty wants out, won't accept buyout, wants to be waived not traded.
