Maybe it's the fan that needs to wise up a little. You are purchasing tickets at the very end of the season when seedings could very well be settled and superstars could be rested. I would think that if you're paying to see JUST the superstar, then it's not particularly wise to get these tickets at this time, as opposed to earlier in the season. If you're a casual to below casual fan, then maybe you should be doing some research on the product you are buying. This is what happens in the NBA and in all sports. It's nothing new. If you knew that this is what happens, and you bought tickets to this game, you have no right whatsoever to be mad. You know about this when you forked over the money and told your kids about this game. It's YOU that should feel ashamed. Not the Cavs or LeBron.
As for the opponent, who cares what the Bulls think? We always complain about how people get concerned about athletes feelings all of the time. Why should this time be any different? They'll move on a lot quicker than the fans will, I'm willing to bet, and that's how it pretty much always and should be.
As for the Cavs. Look at the big picture. They are resting players, especially their superstar. They are trying to win a championship. What's most important? Making a select few stupid fans satisfied or winning it all?
And I just love how people say "Oh, he's a young man, he should be able to play this game." LMAO I would like to see you play 82 games the way he does, and not ask for a game off on a meaningless day.
Sillyness!
