LOS ANGELES - Tracy McGrady has no idea if he'll be a Knick next season. But he doesn't think LeBron James will be one. "To me, in my honest opinion, I don't see it happening," McGrady said of James bolting Cleveland for New York. "I really don't."

Im a McGrady homer but he is making himself look like a jackass. First he was going to be a recruiter now since D'Antoni has soured on him he wants to be all salty.

goes to show you that you cant believe what any of these guys say.

He's just like Hughes. He's all about the Knicks free agent plans when things are going good, and he doesn't think anyone would ever want to play here when things are going bad for him. This is an irrelevant point of view.

I don't know if this is his honest opinion or something he is saying because MDA does not seemed inclined to bring him back, but I honestly agree with him. I don't see it. I hope it happens, but I have serious doubts Lebron would actually leave Cleveland for New York.

LeBron is coming so is Bosh and David Lee is signing at the vet minimum but will also be named as Knicks GM at 10MM per year. This has as much validity as any of the conjecture of any player or sports columnist. BTW JVG is signing on as defensive coordinator.

The only person who knows was Lebron is doing is Lebron. It doesn't matter if TMac or anyone else says he's staying in cleveland or if he is definitely signing in NY. It's all talk. It's all media fodder. IT's all nonsense for guys like Berman to write about and then pretend they did some bigtime reporting to get that information. In the end none of us will know until Lebron signs a contract
I just hope that people will like me

I have no problem with what Tracy McGrady said. He's entitled to his opinion. I personally think LeBron James IS coming. It's not just or all about the basketball team. This is about business and a legacy. Remember that.

Berman says Hughes, Eddy and Nate all are close to Lebron and thats a negative.

If Lebron does not know Hughes is cooked, Eddy is worthless and Special Nate is clueless than Lebron is a fool. He is no fool.

I'd say that players who are not playing up to thier contrats and not getting the minutes they want are pissed. Phuck em!

MDA has a great rep with his boys in PHX and the Olympic team. Disgrunted Malconts are not credible.

Special Nate not getting minutes is not suprising. They guy does not perform in crunch minutes with any consistancy with teammates. He can shoot and get hot but turnovers and clutch moments are not Nate.

Lebron and others are all keeping it real quiet.

If MDA is the reason they don't come they will fire him.

Media fear is crap. Yankees get their men. Some can't take it is true.

Anyone else sick of the media stirring up this stuff?

Jeez, they claim that they are just uncovering the truth for fans but instead they end up turning guys on each other and making the franchise worse in the process (obviously not beneficial to their readers). It's no wonder guys like Bosh have signaled out the NY media as being a negative in the recruiting process. Instead of helping the team they cover, they just tear it down to shambles.

perhaps the reason T-Mac is saying this now is he's gotten accustomed to how MDA works with players, gotten accustomed to his system & he no longer believes Lebron would want to come into a situation like this? when T-Mac came in he only commented on players wanting to play in the NY market... he had no idea what it would be like playing for Mike D'Antoni or what his system was all about... it's a pure guess but it could be a possible reason why he might believe Lebron may not want to come to play here... then again, it could also just be sour grapes over the article that came out the other day about MDA cooling on him for this summer... T-Mac is notorious for being a primadonna... or this could just be another news journalist trying to make a story out of a non-story, but this is an article written by Alan Hahn & his word seems to be taken as gospel by many around here... it's not like Marc Berman wrote this article to stir up the usual controversy where none exists.

You think Lebron isnt a primadonna?

I have seen Lebron scream on Mike Brown multiple times.

Lebron is definitely a primadonna... which is why i wouldn't just dismiss T-Mac's comments here as insignificant sour grapes chatter... u need a head coach who can accomodate this kind of superstar's primadonna mentality... if MDA is having problems w/T-Mac (& i don't know if he is or not, just saying) then u have to be concerned how he will get along with Lebron... yeah, i know all about his Olympics experience & how all the players supposedly loved the guy, but being an assistant coach during the Olympics for the Redeem Team & being a head coach for the Knicks are completely different scenarios.

MDA does not want cap to be spent on injured playing to get pack. He wants his team and then mold them.

Or at least thats what I think.

Tmack wants a ride on the gravy train.

He'll be a Celtic.

I agree with T-Mac. I can't see LeBron leaving Cleveland especially if he wins the championship. That is why I want the cavs to get knocked out in the first round. If Lebron wins he is going to go for a repeat with the Cavs. You want LeBron then hope and pray he wins nothing with the Cavs. Another thing is you never leave more money on the table which the Cavs can still offer him. To many signs say he is not going to be a Knick. The Knicks need to go after him but fans should not be disappointed when they hear he resigns with the cavs. Wade is gonna resign with heat they have more money to offer, go after him but don't be disappointed when he doesn't sign here. They are going to do the whole wine and dine routine with these guys just to get tickets sold and get hopes up that is standard NBA practice. Far as I'm concerned the target should be Joe Johnson, Manu, Amare, Bosh, Boozer and Yoa (if he decides to become a FA) they are more realistic signings. Maybe a trade using the cap space that also might be a realistic option for Paul type of player if he is adamant about leaving the Hornets. I see about a 10% chance that LeBron or Wade will be a Knick. I can't see people leaving money on the table especially with this economy.

You know it. T-Mac is done. He even talks like he is done. Superstars always want to be the man even if they no longer can do it. The way T-Mac talks he is finished. Not wanting to be the man. I don't want a guy like that on a team that I root for. You think Kobe would ever talk like that, hell no the guy could have his leg amputated and he would still want to be the man.

T-Mac is trying to say all the right things so Orlando will pick him up.

I see T-Mac landing in Miami if they get Bosh or Amare because they will basically have no players.

Perhaps McGrady thinks he can get a decent contract if LeBron doesn't come and is saying that, for that reason.
