in 35 minutes.

Anyone see that NJ/Miami game the other night when Jermaine was throwing him around like a girl?

I think Jermain would be a good option next to Lee upfront next year, and I think he would listen to an offer that started around $8mm. He's 32 and he's come back after a few years of injuries very nicely.

I would rather a young guy but if we sign a wing player like JJ or Lebron then putting JO with Lee upfront is pretty solid

You know I agree with you about Lopez.

In regards to JOneal - Fish there is no way I could advocate this team signing JONeal with the capspace. Like you said, he's 32 and he has had a nice bounce-back year, but the guy is literally an injury waiting to happen. I can't risk using our money on a guy who is so frail. He's still a pretty decent player, but he's nowhere near reliable.

Lopez is better than our center since we don't have one. Time will tell if we made the right choice between him and Gallo. Gallo is showing more promise now, but it is still too early to tell.

I would take J-Oneal on an inflated 1 year deal. Other than that, it makes no sense.

Yeah and in the next game he scored 26 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had 4 blocks and 4 assists in a win against the Kings. God he is so horrible. Slower than a turtle!

yea man... that was impressive, and against Spencer Hawes!

People think I hate Lopez. I really dont. I would be happy if he was our guy. I'm even more happy that we took Gallinari who is a better player over him however.

Is there a slower player in the NBA right now?

This could be fun... lets debate if there has EVER been a slower player than Lopez that had any kind of real NBA career (that counts out Mike Sweetney). I'm going to with George Mureshan.

I guess the 26 points in the same one rebound game against the same O'Neal doesnt count, which was his 33rd 20 point game of the season. And people are creaming in their pants because Gallo had a good 5 game stretch and actually resembled a competent NBA player. I've been following Lopez since Stanford and he is the second best player in that loaded draft. When its all said and done, he will still continue to be the second best player in that draft behind Rose.

+1, and only if the team strikes out on the prime targets. I'd prefer JO on a one year inflated contract to blindly overpaying

How much can JO get on the open market? He is always injured but 5 million seems very reasonable for him and not a low ball offer. If you can bring him in at that price resign lee at 10 and keep Mcgrady for two I think that's the best team in the east.

Lopez had that Eric Montross thing about him. Big, power but slow.

Eric was a monster in highschool and caught all kinds of hell for not playing at Indiana.

Jermain is playing well in a contract year. I would not trust that one bit.

Providing we get the dude from Ohio, a guy like that who hopfully has not "shimmy'd" away his money needs to play on a team where he can get limited minutes, stay healthy for playoffs. He gets 5 mil. No, he is not playing for money but for respect and a chance to win. Same with McGrady.

We don't bring in these guys unless they are about "winning" and put their money were their mouth is.

Yeah, i like that team because there's some depth to it. JO is turning into a really good defensive pressence - one of the few on the market. Because of that I think he might get more than $5M... dunno

If JO can stay healthy, I think he's a great compliment to Lee.

Your dreaming, your talking about a guy on a team that hasn't even won 10 games...you think Dlee has invisible stats, lopez is a soft ass big man who is hopeless against double teams, and worst then curry passing out of them. He does have some really nice skills, but the 2nd best in that draft is completely over the top

great... maybe you can answer some questions for me. I saw him play at Stanford 2-3 times. I thought he was pretty bad. The reason? He was huge. For a college player he was so much bigger than most of the front lines he played against (especially w/ Robin next to him). Yet Brook took tons of fall away mid range jumpers and hook shots from 14 feet away. Often it seemed he would just jump and fling the ball at the basket. He got stripped alot and his man2man defense was poor against anyone with a post game.

How does a guy who is 7 feet with that massive wingspan shoot less than 50% in college?

Talk about inflated #s. Lopez is so mechanical and so slow. He's next Big Z, and hey thats not bad. He's a good center and a good piece to have. 2nd best player in the draft? Time will tell.

I like Oneil more than Camby. This is only if we are going the veteran route. I would rather take a shot at Tyrus Thomas, but guys like Jermaine will be around late because they are going to get the FA scraps. I think someone would give him a long MLE contract

His team is going for the worst record in the NBA and they have Devin Harris who was tearing it up not that long ago. I don't doubt that he is good, but how can a great player's team be so crappy? I think he is not as good as his stats say (but I don't see him play regularly, I'm just taking a stab.)

I couldn't imagine a very good center (as he is supposed to be) being on such a crappy team. Now maybe that team is full of egos, in all fairness. I am happy with Gallo, more because of the type of offense we play.

What little I've seen of TT2, I haven't been impressed. He's supposed to be super athletic big man, but I just don't see it.
