Yes & that roster would be good enough to contend for the Finals
Yes, but that roster won't be good enough to contend for the Finals
No, but if he did that roster would contend for the Finals
He won't be interested at all. Roster is too limited.

i say no lebron and no finals.

i don’t believe in brand anymore.

camby's gonna make a quick decline.

t-mac’s through.

lebron would long for the spring in the legs of z and shaq.

Varnado is in my Top 5 must haves and was on my board watch early as the college season tipped off. Too bad he's going late Lottery or just outside but I see his stock rising to the point he's not even remotely an option for us unless we give up something else(Chandler/Gallo/or whatever)<-----I would consider this if we obtained another pick in the second round.

Wesley is also a must have but out of reach

Man it sucks so bad not having high picks this draft.

As far as the roster goes it's solid but people really need to give the Cavaliers credit. Their roster is tailor made for Lebron and they can retool in 2012.

I like Douglas as much as anyone, more because I love the pick but I'm not convince he is ready to be the point man on a contending team. Lebron probably don't even know half of that roster. To tell you the truth the only guys on that roster that I would trust is Manu and Scola to seriously help Lebron. I have to pass and I think he would too.

fair enough, but what could we possibly put together to entice him to come here then? if we sign Bosh to the max to try & lure Lebron, we have no cap left over to sign anyone else & we're lacking the depth to contend w/teams like the Magic & Lakers... so really under that logic u would only have 1 player u would trust to seriously help Lebron out... the rest of the team would be guys Lebron doesn't know too & we'd still be lacking a PG if u don't trust TD in that role.

i dunno if Lebron comes here to play with just Bosh & the young guys we have... we'll have to figure out a way to clear some more cap if we're planning on building around Lebron & Bosh, no?

The whole point I thought about Lebron coming to NY was the lure of NY not the really the roster. If Donnie goes in and try to pitch that he will lose out. Frankly there are better rosters out there like the Clippers and Chicago. The lure of NY and adding another top flight player like Bosh will be his best pitch. That's why it was always a risky deal to begin with.

for now i'm gonna take Lebron at his word & make it all about putting together the best team that has the chance to win... i think putting all your eggs into just 2 players is a risky business in itself cuz there's always the risk of injury... if 1 of those guys goes down for any period of time, you're basically up you know what's creek w/o a paddle... maybe looking to build a team w/the most depth would be our best bet if we're trying to go after Lebron... just throwing it out there.

personally i think the 2 rosters i posted are a lot better than what he has to play with now in CLE.

get him a frontcourt guy that will fill out the stat sheet every night, not a 35 year old with no knees who is going to miss 30 games a year and make Brook Lopez look like Carl Lewis. Get Lebron a young all star front court guy that can run with him for years to come. A skilled player with a complete game. A guy who can shoot when Lebron spreads the floor and clean up the glass. A guy who will shoot a high %, something around 55%. Who to get... hmm... Here's a though. How about David Lee

Agreed 100%.

LeBron already has capable veterans around him in Cleveland. The one area where we can separate ourselves from Cleveland is by offering LeBron a sidekick that is young enough to actually play with him for more than a couple of years.

Whether that guy is David Lee, Chris Bosh, or Amare is another story. The point is, we can surround LeBron with a star front court player in his prime, somthing Cleveland has been unable to do.

Lol. Yep. Team broke down.

That would have been a hell of a squad in like '05, tho.

i hope you're not talking about Luis Scola... dude is 29 years old & durable as hell, hasn't missed a single game over his 3 year career... may not be as mobile running the floor but he's definitely no Brook Lopez i can tell u that much... he's also an excellent rebounder, a heady intelligent player, isn't afraid to bang in the paint on both ends of the floor & holds his own on defense... also shoots a high % (52%) & would likely cost us several millions less per year than D Lee would... not too shabby a passer either for a bigman... not quite on D Lee's level perhaps but well above average... & far exceeds D Lee on the defensive side of the ball... but hey, if u think u can put together a better roster than the ones i did, knock urself out & we can discuss.

& any thought of having D Lee as our starting 5 next year shouldn't even be entertained at this point.

i would try to trade wilson and curry for biedrins and cj watson after signing everyone. sign bron $16.5M, dlee $9M, felton $6M, keep bill walker, use the second round picks to add some size.

PG - felton/toney
SG - watson/walker
SF - lebron/gallo
PF - dlee/gallo
C - biedrins

I think we're not developing our options with Felton instead of Toney. I also feel that Giddens will be someone that gets rave reviews when we see him in action. I would like to see another double digit rebounder per 36, coming off the bench. Aree you suggesting that Chandler got traded? Please, NOOOOOOO!

Lebron ain't coming hear!We might as well get over it. The best chance we have at signing an allstar is David Lee. We better use some of that money to buy some mid to late draft picks.

if we could give up all of our cap space for 2 top 3 picks in this year's draft i would do it... probably have a better chance of landing 2 superstars to build around doing that then hoping Lebron, Wade or Bosh will leave their teams hanging by signing w/us outright... u need good young assets to use in sign & trades to land the established elite superstars... cap space is good for the 2nd & 3rd tier guys who u can overpay to sign... i think the chances of landing Lebron & another top FA this summer using just cap space are very slim.

THE SPORTING LIFE
Even as Chris Bosh scores 10,000th NBA point, speculators wonder if he’s planning to dump Toronto

Last night’s Raptors game, wherein they squeezed out a win over the Atlanta Hawks, played out like an awkward date at the end of a once passionate relationship. After Bosh scored his 10,000th NBA point and became the first Raptor ever to reach that milestone, the crowd showed its love with a standing ovation. Bosh, chillingly, didn’t respond.

Basically, it went down like this:

Toronto: I love you, Chris. Maybe we should talk about spending our lives together.
Bosh [looking awkwardly at menu]: I wonder if the prix fixe comes with a drink.

Speculators are taking Bosh’s cool reception of praise as confirmation that the power forward will be leaving T.O. at the end of the season, when he becomes a free agent. Aside from winning the game with a free throw, Bosh’s performance had been a little lacklustre all night. According to the Star:

If…you watched almost everything up until the final throes, you had to wonder about the timing when the PA announcer promoted the latest sale at the in-house merchandise store: Bosh jerseys are currently going out the door at a discount. The cut rate, officially, was “in celebration” of Bosh’s milestone. Or maybe it was an educated bit of inventory control.

We feel an awkward relationship status change may be in the offing.
