Fourth major blizzard. Got just under 6" so far for the day. Forecast calling for 12-18 more overnight and tomorrow.

Uh, yeah...I like this and all but I've had 3 majors of 28,18,24 so far. 3 3'inchers, handful of 1-2's. And now this that could be another 20'incher?

Jesus. My season average is about 26. I've got about 85 inches so far this year.

LOL.

I live in Toronto, we're getting our first serious snow storm tonight, about 10 centimeters lol. Not bad compared to what you guys have been getting. I guess its attributed to the El Nino. Usually we get close to 30 inches of snow the entire winter. We haven't even gotten half of that this winter.

that's what I'm saying? You mean little silver?

Surprising - I'm on the shore - Bradley Beach - and very little snow right now. Hoping I don't wake up to a foot!

From my perspective (as an avid outdoor enthusiast particularly in many winter sports) I am envious of those of you who have multiple 20" snowstorms. I have about a foot of slush outside, and that's pretty much what we've gotten so far this winter. It sucks.

My back isn't envious, and I am not looking forward to driving to work tomorrow. (Queens)

Not enough snow to shut down the NYC school system, but more than enough to make my commute miserable.

Nah I'm out in Tinton Falls.

We always seem to get blasted out here. Just far enough away from the shore and just higher enough elevation.

Looks like a mess out there right now. Not too keen on stepping outside just yet.

Somebody must have prayed hard- because Bloomberg called off the school day at around 5:30 AM. Our school day starts at 7, and some kids who come from far away actually leave before 5:30 to make it on time- so he cut it pretty close.

My back is aching already just thinking about the shoveling I will have to do around the house today.

I live right on the Watching Reservation on top of what goes for a mountain around here and we are slammed.

Cosmic.. I didnt realize you were in that area. We should organize a UK trip to Monmouth park to drink beer, bet on horses and celebrate Lebron coming to the Knicks this summer

It was just a sea of snow when I left the apartment this morning at 6 am. No foot prints at all. Very cool!

It's cool until you have to shovel it. Then it sucks.

But snow itself is fun and being able to play in it, however rarely that is, takes me back to my childhood. Good times.

Tomorrow morning: 20 mile XC ski with my buddy.
Tomorrow afternoon: 6 mile snowshoe to one of my favorite cliffs on a nearby ridge for an ice climb photo sess (light depending).
Sunday: downhill with my kids.

I LOVE snow. Should be the first super fun weekend of my winter. 'Bout friggin time. Bloody March starts in a couple of days.
