What's up with Eddy? Is he still injured? What's the official line. Breen kept saying the Knicks were too small last night, and I thought of Eddy.

Will he ever play another game as a Knick (or otherwise)?

When the McGrady trade went down, I'm pretty sure D'Antoni had said that Curry is still a couple of weeks away from returning to practice...

I think he is recovering but D'Antoni wasn't going to use him anyways. I doubt he sees the court as a Knick again.

Curry can't stay healthy either, or play with any heart, or stay in shape.

Probably done for his career.

Waive 8M in front of Fatty's face and be done with it. That's 3M extra cap room for the summer.

Trading him isn't an option. We don't need his salary to make a trade we can absorb salary in trades. Get rid of him and cut his contract down a few mil in the process.

Yeah, I wouldn't.

Me neither. I'd play Bender 48 minutes at PG before I let Curry even dress for a game.

if MDA is willing to bury Nate, Duhon, Hughes, Darko...Curry doesn't see the light of day till his contract expires. he'll probably find some GM willing to let him attempt a comeback.
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

we can use his salary in a trade this summer, the cap doesn't matter after u sign 2 max guys anyway... but if they can't find any takers looking to dump a longterm contract of a quality player on us, then i agree, we should just buy him out... but i don't see him taking $3 mil less... we're looking at a $1.5 mil or so difference since that's what he'll make if he signs on w/another team.

A trade for what? More 2011 salary or worse?

2010 is gone. no more 2010 expirings. That's gone.

Trading Curry now is dumb. Buy him out. Then if we want to make a deal we can absorb salary.

A team who wants to trade us 11M worth of Salary would rather we just absorbed it - not take Curry back.

Zero use for Curry and his salary. None.

Buy it out, shed 2-3M off our cap further.

the hell are u talking about? the cap concerns don't matter anymore after this summer... we're all in for Lebron, & if we don't land Lebron we're going to sign 2nd tier guys & use up the cap... wake up & smell the coffee

What are YOU talking about. I'm one of the leaders in saying the cap space is great for us.

You're saying we need to trade Eddy. You also hate the trade that just got us 10M more cap space.

Trade Eddy for what? There is no more cap space to be had. No team is going to trade us a good 2011 player for Curry's fat ass. We don't need more cap space we can absorb contracts so no need to worry about trading Curry for say 1M less in returned salary.

We can absorb salary in trades.

We need to buy Eddy out and add a few Mil to our cap in doing so.

TMS, You're the one saying we need to trade Eddy and that his contract is an asset in trade. It's a meaningless asset. Just buy him out. The day of trading expirings for more crap are over.

i said we should probably try & use his expiring in some kind of deal for a player w/a big contract that can still play, because this summer the cap concerns will no longer apply after the FA's are signed... then it's all in for playoffs & beyond from that point forward... clearing Curry's contract for 2011 won't mean jack sheit, it's not going to be enough to land Melo anyway... mine as well add someone to complement the 2 big names u sign this summer if u can because the Knicks will just buy him out otherwise... a buyout is always the worst possible outcome of any bad acquisition when your team isn't worried about adding salary, which we won't be after the FA's are signed this summer.
