yeah, a few of us have this discussion on going about Darko on this thread:
http://ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=34147&page=2 it really is a head scratcher why this guy never got a chance here. After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I also think that his inability to show any kind of jumper doomed him very early on. He wanted to play in the high post and dish from there, but could not hit a jumper. Add to that a below average post game. I will have to see his recent game with Minny- the one where he played some good minutes. I am coming to terms with the idea that MDA is better with guys who can fit into his system, and is not a coach who adapt to take advantage of the skills that some players have if they don't naturally fit into his style of play. I was one of the people who wanted Darko last year, and was happy that we picked him up this year. I really thought that he might find some significant minutes with this team, although I also believe that he wants to go home and be with his family, and would not have remained even in the US even if he had been give significant minutes. No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities- C.N. Bovee
