Again, the short-sighted stat line argument. Most important statistic: 1 loss for the Knicks.
Did you watch the game? Lee was his usual dynamic self on offense. He actually stepped up at blocked a few shots, too. If we could see more of that on a consistent basis, we could be having a different converstaion right now. However, when he was our last line of defense, down the stretch when the Knicks were protecting a lead, OKC scored EASILY, with minimal resistence. Lee was the culprit many of those times. I was watching it. Intently. He didn't even jump when his man is 1 foot away from the hoop, clearly shooting. Just stands there, hands up, no desire to prevent the shot. That's not getting it done, even minimally.
Again, overall Lee is a talented player. But his lack of interior defense is a critical, fatal flaw in his game. I'd love him back for medium money, because given his horrendous defense and his awesome offense, that's what he's worth.
But people, when the game is on the line and you need a stop, you need a ****ing stop!!! Not a pretty ****ing double double. You feel me?
