Portland trades:SG Ruben Patterson (6.8 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.6 apg in 22.6 minutes)

SF Rasheed Wallace (17.2 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.9 apg in 38.8 minutes)
Portland receives: PG Frank Williams (4.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.8 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (8.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 25.5 minutes)
SF Keith Van Horn (16.9 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.7 apg in 35.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +6.2 ppg, +0.7 rpg, and +0.8 apg.

New York trades:PG Frank Williams (4.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.8 minutes)
SF Shandon Anderson (8.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 25.5 minutes)
SF Keith Van Horn (16.9 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.7 apg in 35.1 minutes)
New York receives: SG Ruben Patterson (6.8 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.6 apg in 23 games)
SF Rasheed Wallace (17.2 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.9 apg in 31 games)
Change in team outlook: -6.2 ppg, -0.7 rpg, and -0.8 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
1)By acquiring Moochie, Williams becomes expendable. John Nash of Portland is a former NJ nets GM who drafted Van Horn and loves his game.
2)Van Horn with his pristine self will improve the image of the JailBlazers.
3)Stoudimire is already in the trading block so Portland is already looking for another PG.
4)Knicks payroll with the blockbuster trade has now hit 91mm. With Wallace, thats 17mm off the cap if you dont sign him back..
Knicks now have a legit post-up player in Rasheed who'll play the 3.

Pg.Marbury Sg.Houston C.Mutumbo Pf.Thomas Sf.Wallace
Backups: Penney pg,sg,sf. Sg.Patterson, C.Doleac,PF.Sweetney & Othella Harrington, Pg.Mooochie who will occasionally play pg and Marbury Sg. just like Bibby and Bobbie jackson from SAC.

Portland has pg Williams/Stoudamire Sg.Derek A./McInnis, Center is Dale D. PF. Randolph and Sf VanHorn.

Something like that could be nice, but i don't know if Portland would be willing to take on the large contracts, plus i don't know how well Wallace would fit into the current team. I basically see the blockbuster deals ending, and someone like Williams and/or Harrington being dealt. I would gladly deal Williams for a draft pick, as well as Harrington, because we definitely need some flexability in the future.

In terms of Large contracts, Kemp's buyout from 2 yrs ago for 14.5mm comes off.
Wesley persons 7.7mm comes off.
Sabonis's 3mm comes off along with 3 others players. Thats about 26mm off the Portland's payroll. I didn't even remove Rasheed's yet.
I'm sure Portland can take a couple of contracts since 26mm is coming off their cap after the season..

You can take a look @ http://hoopshype.com/salaries/portland.htm
You'll see Portland's financial situationas a team..

Sounds like a great idea to me.
If portland pulls the trigger on that, I will just die!

Do you understand that we will win a ****ing championship with that team. But we would need Pat Riley to come in and coach us.

I don't like him either but in order to take back, you must also give a little..

Hey at least Shandon's contract which is 30.4mill til 2006-07 gets removed for Patterson's 17.5mm remaining with a player's opt out in 2006-2007 ..

True, but they def need a backup to Deke. The guy can only play 30min max and no one guarantees he'll do good. His last two nights were exceptional (although last game he only had blocks, not many boards) but he's not consistent. I havent checked if there are any good back up C/big PF's available.

This trade only appeals to me because Rasheed adds taste to the team which the Knicks desperately lack (but Marbury will bring it back, hopefully). That and the fact that KVH isnt fit to be a Knick, someone should put him on Utah.

Wow... what an aggressive trade. The Knicks' depth in the frontcourt will really be tested if this trade goes through--- hahaha, I'd even consider re-signing Amaechi.

The trade potentially would clear up cap space... but would it make us a better team?

Tech I'm glad at least you are thinking about chemistry too ! Portland had all the talent in the world and all they did was make the papers and go to the playoffs. If this last trade goes down how many ego's would we have flaring up? Who would be the go to guy at crunch time. Has marbury been asked what is it like playing with Houston or KVH oops Wallace. How long will it take the team to mesh and learn what the coach system ? KT, Wallace,= timebombs!
