I really do not see how LBJ would leave the best team in the NBA anyway--but if they actually enhance the team with a PF superstar---0/100 to NY.

I dont know about 100 percent, but it would slightly diminish our chances in signing him.

Phoenix has got to know that trading Amare to Cleveland is basically handing them a chip for the next 3-5 years barring injury.

Why did you have to go and say it? Anyway , say it quickly together with me "The Knicks cannot do anything, short of trading for amare, so no reason to get depressed about the things that we cannot change". Lets hope it helps and No Amare to Cleveland !

i'm guessing kerr wants to move him east and that he's ready to walk for 5 years instead of 6...or he could pick up his option which kerr doesn't want. that somewhat limits his options.

If the Cavs get Amare they are the best team for at least the next three years. I think they are pretty amazing right now and I love Shaq on that team.

Just trade for him and be done with it. When does he expire?

Shaq & Z are both expiring after this year, so basically it will be Lebron, Amare if they re-sign him, JJ Hickson, Mo Will & the rest role players... dunno if i'd call that a dynasty.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Pretty sure I started a topic about this weeks ago...and my feeling is the same: If they get Amare and he performs they can re-sign him and re-sign LeBron regardless of the cap situation because they own bird rights on both players.

So it would be interesting to see what happens there.

As to BRIGGS wanting to contract the Knicks franchise if this happens - jeez man give it up already - with or without LeBron we're going to be able to build a new team the proper way and it will have a chance to be a whole lot better than any of the trash we've witnessed these past 8 or 9 seasons.

But my mommy said I could have Lebron next season. That's it, I am taking my ball and going home. So there.

What is the proper way? Trading for T mac and resigning him? I think after 10 years the wait and see motto applies to the Knicks--2010--wait and we'll see--we could've had a very good team already. Lets see if the Knicks can get a C in the next 3 years--that we'll be an accomplishment.

Briggs- agree with you, though less so about getting a C.

I realized that in signing Duhon, we were basically just good enough to not be able to pick any potential superstars in the draft. Although I am sure that MDA would be sitting a player like Evans had we been able to select him.

And I fully expect this to repeat itself.

We'll miss Lebron- for whatever reason.

And then Walsh will sign second tier talent just to be able to make the team better.

And then we're pretty locked in for competing for the 8th slot for maybe the next 5 years.

Good enough to avoid picking up an all star/franchise player in the draft.

But not good enough to get beyond the first round in the playoffs.

And pretty much capped out and locked in with the soon to be overpaid players we add this off season.

Who said we were trading for TMac with the intent of signing him long term and making him our franchise building block?

Yeah, some journalist.

But, since it fits the argument of those who want Walsh and D'Antoni not just fired but hung in times square...I guess it's fact that that is our plan of action.
