I was reading this article over at yahoo sports http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Ai4z5wKsWF3_rjTkmRXVl2Q5nYcB?slug=aw-garnettceltics020110&prov=yhoo&type=lgns.
It got me thinking what we could offer for Allens expiring. The only possible way we could pull a trade for allen off would be to give up Gallo and another young piece like Hill or Chandler (not to mention the problems in convincing the celtics that taking on Jefferies to flesh out the trade is a good idea). I personally wouldn't give up Gallo and Chandler just to get rid of Jefferies, but I am interested to see how many young pieces the rest of you would be willing to give up to achieve 2010 cap space. |

On the other hand, what if Walsh was able to trade a package of Lee (BYC complicates matters) and Jefferies for a promising young player locked into an affordable contract, an expiring, and a pick?..” What about this? Now that's a true commitment to clearing some cap space Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
