Unfortunately his team - Shanxi Zhongyu - still lost.

Article here (“Marbury’s skill was great, but the cooperation of his teammates was bad,” according to one fan):

For those of you who miss seeing Ma Bu Li in action:

Damn, he only scored 15 pts and already them Chinese cats are doggin' him? Wow, he's only 32, I dont give a damn if he's on one leg he should be able to get 30 out there in his sleep considering the talent he was just a few short years ago.

What a major fall off...

Mo Taylor sighting!!!

Idiots who liked the Mo Taylor trade manup!

http://chinasportstoday.com/en/blog/tag/Maurice+Taylor

+ Marbury clearly was not informed of his role on the team. With 22 seconds to go and down one point, he dished the ball from the top of the key to a man just above the baseline who didn't have much of a scoring opportunity. The play ended up in free throws, which the Shanxi shooter split to tie the game. A Marbury foul at the other end, followed by a made free throw, put Dongguan New Century up 102-101. With 5 seconds left and down one point, Marbury brought the ball up and dished to forward Maurice Taylor for... wait for it... the three! Psst: Stephon, your job was just to drive and score or get fouled. And Mr. Taylor, you had no excuse for being so far from the basket.

There bringing the old gang back together in CHina! MO Taylor! Can Moochie be that far behind.

Maybe Isiah does have one more stop left after he gets fired from FIU for drugging undergrads and keeping them in his basement.

Only 15pts? Yeah, but how many dimes and assists did he get?

sounds like Ma Bu Li is still passing up the big shots in crunchtime to other teammates.

Despite shooting 0-6 from three, he actually had a decent line:

15pts 4reb 8asst 4 stls

he was jetlagged for first game. he'll probably avg 25-30 pts, 12 assists, 8 rebounds and 5 dimes in no time.

I liked the trade. I always thought Taylor was going to be the next Juwan Howard.

i know there are tons of reasons for it - like mike d'antoni had to do it to win the respect and trust of the rest of the lockerroom... but damn, marbury looked good in his pre-season here. i would have liked to see him running the point for mike. why not, right? imagine if he had said yes to mike d'antoni offering him the starting SG job in milwaukee after the trades last season? it's hard to feel sorry for marbury because he always seems to be shooting himself in the foot. but it's equally as hard for me to not play the "what if" game with this kid. he had the talent to rule the point guard position. he should have been a taller chris paul. such a sad story. i wish him the best, even if he is crazy and has been enabled by the wrong type of person for far too long. good luck, marbs.

Marbury isn't a kid. he is a grown man and he simply never got it. i never wanted to see him in a knicks uni again after the isiah season so that was a good call by mike.

I know, I was geeked out when I read that. I can't wait until I see what Mo Taylor's name is transliterated to in Chinese.

Mo Taylor fun fact: according to Wikipedia the dude has Italian decent on his momma's side, and looked into getting a Italian passport when he was playing in Italy. Who knew?
