At least Thomas sees that this team has no depth, no heart, and that Van Horn is really a choker. Bring on the trades, f**ck the "momentum", chagnes are needed badly.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

No allan, Starting Point guard did not play.

2 starters out, Dice also not clicking on any cylinders.

Dice is really doing what I thought would happen.

I thought it would be february until he would contribute. I was surprised by his good play up until recently.

Still a long season, he might still come back.

Laydog gone, anything is possible now.

Dyess may get traded; I read somewhere that Isaiah is shopping him across the league.

Simrud, I am with you all the way. Good post.
They don't call fool's gold that for nothing...

IMO Zeke will pull off another deal within the next 2-3 weeks if not sooner.

As for Moochie, I am not gonna criticize him until I see how he meshes with the team. He shouldn't be compared to Eisley, since he is quicker and is a much better ballhandler than Eisley.

The next few games should be a nice little barometer to see just where the team is, with the shock of the management change starting to wear off by now.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Wake up call: The knicks have to beat the NETS! I hate the Nets and I hate their fans. I hate it when I have to hear Richard freakin Jefferson say the Knicks should rebuild! I hate it when the fans think Richard Jefferson is so good. I would be good if I was getting the ball passed to me from JASoN KIDD!!

The Nets are a bunch of no talent ass clowns without Jason Kidd. Richard Jefferson is athletic but he is not a great talent. K-Mart is not top10 in the NBA and without Jason kidd they would be Terrible. I WANT TO SEE THE KNICKS DESTROY THE NETS!! I WANT THOSE BASTARD FANS TO HAVE A WAKE UP CALL!! BEAT THE NETS!

If Keith Van Horn is the best player that the Knicks have on the floor, then that explains why our record is 6 game under .500. It's bad enough with Allan Houston being the best player on the team. Five games don't mean a damn thing in the grand scheme of an 82-game season.

That's what I don't get about some fans. When folks get desperate, every minor thing gets magnified and blown outta proportion. KVH is a tease. This is far from the first 5-game stretch he's done well in. Pronblem is, when you start souping yourselves up into believing that he's consistently that way, he shows you that he's not. When he performs that way over not five, but 50 games, then let's see about giving him props. He doesn't have this squad playing over .500, so let's see if we can get over that hump first.

Postas getting all hyped over drop-in-the-bucket minor stuff is what causes high blood pressure and heartattacks. As long as it could take for the Knicks to win a title, fans gotta be more health-conscious so we can extend our lifespans long enough to see that Title happen.

As much as Knick fans here like to pin losses on KVH, it takes more than 1 player to win a game. Our starters tonight put up pretty good numbers across the board. However... since 2 of our fill-in starters tonight are normally key contributors off the bench, we had no bench support.

I hope FW's groin injury isn't too serious. This really stinks.

The Knicks continue to be an unbalanced team. In a game like this, Doleac would have been more effective than McDyess... but unfortunately he's either really hurt or we were just making room for Amaechi. This game came down to a handful of plays, and with slightly more depth, we win this.

But how much depth does a team neeed to beat the Bulls, who were playing on the road? This roster is still flawed. Chaney still has to go. More transactions still need to be made.

The Roster maybe flawed but the number 1 priority is firing Chaney. He is just a bad coach. He gets out coached constantly. I really dont like him. I just hope we beat the NETS

Allan won't be playing tomorrow. He's having his knee drained. FWill is still a question mark for tomorrow. If we couldn't beat the Bulls without them, I doubt that we'll be competitive against the Nets.

We'll need all our guns against the Nets, and won't have them.

C'mon? We give up 104 pts and Van Horn is the choker? That's really tough to say here. The way I see it, with Houston and Williams out we had to play guys off our bench that we didn't want to play, and ultimately, there were times during the game were they got out of the flow. Norris had one nice shot, but forced up to bricks the next two times down, and let the Bulls pull away a little. To me that was a HUGE turning point in this ball game. I know Norris is trying to impress his teammates, but you gotta play smart. There is never an excuse for not playing smart.

And then there was a horrible call, as KVH clearly had an "and one" opportunity taken away by a bad call. The bulls defender was clearly in the restricted area. KVH should've had a free throw instead of a jump ball. That took away an opportunity to cut it to two, and take away Bull momentum.

And the final nail was when Anderson missed the layup. Its hard to blame it on Anderson, because it went in and out, but that layup would've tied the game with only seconds left.

The bottom line is the defense suffered tonight, and there was a little bit of fire lost without FW and Allan. It's a bad loss certainly, but you cannot win them all, and its harder to do so without your starting backcourt. Lets hope those guys get healthy in time for NJ.

Anybody making a big deal about this lost is a fool! When you don't have your starting backcourt playing it will be difficult for any team to win. Take away kidd and Kittles and let them play my knicks and see what happens. Some dumb knicks fans "just don't get it"

Dude why you on my tip, NY can lose games with starting backcourt out without you sounding like "SAD SACK"

It doesn't matter man, don't you see it, they did what the Layden/Chaney era Knicks do, they had an opportunity that might not come again for a while and they blew it. They found a way to loose. A good team should be able to beat the Bulls w/out Pippen and Chandler even with players of Houston's and FW's magnitude out. We were at home; there are no excuses for loosing to the Bulls at home. Chaney blew the game completely; once again they were unprepared to play as defensively they looked clueless. I watched the whole game and one thing stood out, a remarkable way to find a way to loose. Exactly what every Knicks fan have seen for the last 2 years. This loss basically erased the 4 game winning streak as we failed to catch Philly and let the Heat overtake us despite blowing them out twice. It is really really disappointing. And with Houston's persistent knee and back problem, the next few games look bad. We'll probably get blown out by the Nets like we always do (and don't bring up preseason please) and then Cleveland will run us into the ground, and the Rockets will have no problem with JVG knowing our team inside out. That’s a 4 game loosing streak waiting to happen. This Bulls game was a must win. This is not personal man; I just don’t understand how you can't see the hopelessness of this whole thing. We need to blow this up and rebuild, or at least change the players. I'm tired of watching this boring losers being coached by a boring looser.

Let's face it, this team is not going to win every game.

I'm going to take a wait-and-see attitude. I was happy with the winning streak but tried not to let it get to my head. I wanted the Knicks to win last night but was not too surprised or depressed when they lost.

Tomorrow's game against the despised Nets will be a real test of the team's character. I sure hope Frank Williams is able to play. I think we saw last night just how important he has become to this team.
