Its not about being able to hit his outside jumpers...how many times do we have to see him blow layup opportunities because he's afraid to make a layup??? Dude can only pass to David Lee on the pick and roll and the whole league knows it...

Luke Ridinour: He's been getting choppy minutes this season...he's been playing effecient basketball this year. The veteran experience seems to be finally rubbing off on him...and probably the presence of Brandon Jennings has also lit a fire under him. He's not an all world point guard but neither is Duhon. Can't nobody say anything bad about Ridinour's defense because Duhon has been horrible for 2 seasons now. Ridinour can and will take his man off the dribble and hit the outside shot. Dude is also a very creative passer. Last year of his contract...Knicks could easily get him in a lateral trade...Bucks trying to save cap too but are trying to make the playoffs.

Steve Blake: Andre Miller and Bayless are out the dog house and winning games for Portland. Steve Blake is basically not as good as either, but he is very good at playing the point guard spot. Not particulary good at anything, but he actually does the things that Duhon is rumored to do. Blake could come right in and take over Duhons spot with no prob. He's an ending contract as well and the Knicks might get away with shipping Jared since Portland lacks size.

Mike James: I think they are punishing the dude for being confident in his abilities. Dude is getting old now but he still has major talent. Dude would come in cold and put up 18pts a night and 5 assists especially in this offense. He's a NY dude that knows his window is closing. Again...a lateral trade could work...That city needs a sideshow and Nate is that dude...Maybe Nate and Jared for Mike James and Deshawn Stevenson??? Nothing changes cap wise...Knicks do get a guard that cares in Stevenson to play defense off the bench.

TJ Ford: wtf happened to this guy??? he's not as good as anybody thought he would. He's still way better than Duhon and needs an offense to run. D'antoni could get the best outta TJ Ford...same way he is attempting to do that with Duhon. Thing is TJ actually has the talent to do it. He's not hurt...he's just in the pacers doghouse. Indiana could take jared and a filler as a lateral move...Troy Murphy is also on the block too so maybe Murphy could take a ride as well. Indiana makes a good trade partner with the knicks imho

I'm just bloggin y'all....add to the discussion with your ideas...Duhon has totally worn out his welcome in NYC.

I know it doesn't help the Knicks cap...but how much better would a team of David Lee, Gallo, Troy Murphy, TJ Ford, and Wilson Chandler be??? especially going into next year. It's just 2 less pieces to fill in...

Also Kevin Martin...he just sticks out at me...He's not playing well with Tyreke evans and he is alwasy hurt...Sactown has a new look with tyreke especially since alot of the team is really young and promising....They don't need one dude taking all the shots. They basically have to change all they do to get Kevin Martin the ball....Kevin Martin would chop a serious piece of cap space from the knicks...but the dude is one of the best shooting guard in the league today when healthy...Knicks have quite a few ending contracts they can trade especially Cuttino. Sactown has alot of guys under contract so its not like they are gonna want a boat load of talent back...i dunno it just seems like a trade the knicks could actually get away with making.

Kevin Martin ain't sturdy enough to get the job done... he's more of an undersized scoring guard. You will not get a championship with that guy.

Just wait for Raymond Felton when he's available and tough it out for the remainder of this year. We ain't making the playoffs... the other 2nd tier teams have gotten too good.

Rose is not the answer.

Waiting for next year is exactly what Donnie is gonna do...

for discussion purposes....I could see a Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas, and Sergio for Cutton's contract, Jared and Nate Robinson. Jared is a nice mentor for the youth they have their in sactown...Robinson and Tyreke in the backcourt is exciting. Nate also would be close to home. Sergio and Kevin Martin would be the new Knicks backcourt. Kenny and Cuttino are just a wash...Knicks don't really take back too much salary with this trade...makes everyone happy.

edit: wishful thinking but Gallo, Wilson, David Lee, Sergio and Kevin Martin is a huge upgrade...next year if Lebron comes Take out Wilson from the starting line-up....sick sick sick...

Live by the Duhon, die by the Duhon! It's tough to accept but DW n MDA tied the wagon to this guy hoping he could have even a decent season. The last thing they expected was one of his worst. I think most would've expected him to start strong and fade but he didn't even do that. His horrendous start spread to the rest of the team.

I wish I could believe a deal was gonna happen but I don't see it. The options you went over Enyspree are so lateral I don't see DW doing it. I think he's prepared to ride this out. I hope I'm wrong but I think he'll stand pat.

Was it Briggs or Fish that wanted to trade Duhon last year? Think it was Briggs, and honestly, that would have been a great deal for us.

Does anyone think Duhon is getting another contract anywhere? Maybe a vet minimum - 2 years?

If Orlando offered him more money and a longer contract, he will regret passing that up.

We should have picked up Jamal Tinsley or J Williams this summer like Walsh thought about doing. Either pg would have been an upgrade over Duhon. Really, unless his 3 is falling (which occurs like once every 10 games) the guy is totally useless.

I would also look at a guy like Jason Hart or grab someone like that out of the D-league.

TJ Ford or Mike James would also be a good pickups. Basically, any PG in the league not named Duhon would be an upgrade.

Anthony Carter would be an upgrade? Jannero Pargo? Speedy Claxton? Marcus Banks? Mardy Collins? Travis Diener? Keyon Dooling? Daniel Gibson? Eddie House? Lester Hudson? Royal Ivey? Acie Law? Flip Murray? Kevin Ollie? Ronnie Price? Chris Quinn?

if Duhon's shots were falling he'd command a hefty raise in his salary next year... the fact is Duhon is what he always was... a guy who gets his dishes, a good character guy in the lockerroom, a solid backup PG who was signed to fill a gap on the roster for 2 years... could we have done better than Duhon for the same money? sure, i think that's reasonable to say, but he's far from being the worst PG in the NBA... y'all are going overboard w/the Duhon hate if u ask me, & i don't even particularly care for the guy either.

Thing about Duhon I hate is he doesnt seem to mind coming out of games cause he's so bad.

That is label of a SOFT player. Things aint going right for him Chris rather sit

What kind of Knick is that ?

I know I'm overboard with Duhon and offcourt he's a nice guy and pro but I dont like soft-tees
He brings nothing to NY in grit and wit.

Cant see why MDA defends everything about Duhon. If you were STUCK in a Foxhole and had to rely on Duhon you'd be in trouble!

i think he understands he's struggling right now & Duhon has never been the type to cause friction with a coach for his decisions... he's a team player which is why Coach K recommended him so highly to MDA in the first place... i wouldn't put too much weight into him not looking angry for getting pulled out of a game... i don't think Duhon's soft... he's always been a competitor, he's just not making his shots.

HE really sucks dude

i don't like him... i just don't think he sucks as badly as some of you say... worst PG in the NBA? no way... maybe the worst STARTING PG, then i will agree, but IMO he'd make a nice backup & i still think he's worth more than just a veteran's minimum deal... he takes care of the ball & makes smart passes... wish he were more consistent with his J & would push the tempo more, but i wish a lot of players on this team would improve in areas of their game too.

He plays an offense that makes PG's look even better then they really are..

Yet he still sucks!!....... Any other PG in the league would instantly become better
playing in system ...... You seem like a smart dude but think your way off with this bum!!

I wouldn't want him backing up my PG and wouldn't offer him a penny to come back!!

He is the number one reason we lose!! Number 1

Fishlips plays D at least ..... And as far as assists D Lee avg's 4 assists in this system
dudu 7. something ....... Yet Dudu cant score 8 points a game nor play D

Always chokes!!....... Acts like a *****!!

Best thing bout him is his best friend works for the President!!

A total scrub!!

i definitely agree he's a big part of the reason why we're losing because when he plays well so do the Knicks... but you'd rather have any of the guys i listed in the previous post over Duhon to be our starting PG, or even backup for that matter?

Anthony Carter would be an upgrade? Jannero Pargo? Speedy Claxton? Marcus Banks? Mardy Collins? Travis Diener? Keyon Dooling? Daniel Gibson? Eddie House? Lester Hudson? Royal Ivey? Acie Law? Flip Murray? Kevin Ollie? Ronnie Price? Chris Quinn?

Honestly, I think everyone you mentioned would be an upgrade or no worse than Duhon. That is just how bad Duhon has played. Other than when his three is falling, the guy is worthless out there. His defense is average at best, he seems to be afraid to drive to the hole, and he really only creates shots for Lee. You put Anthony Carter in this offense and give him a summer running the pick and roll and he will be better than Duhon. The same with Gibson, Pargo, Banks, Collins, Diener, Dooling, etc. Guys like Eddie House and Acie Law are not really point guards. Is there some pg in the NBA that is worst than Duhon? Probably, but not many.
