At their best its a toss up between Mase and Larry Johnson.

LJ was already grounded by back problems but Mase was at his peak here.

Loved Mase........ Played in a pick up game with him on Tillary St in Brooklyn when he was playing in Turkey..

Mad handles for a guy that size.....

Would of called him more a PF but he did play SF for sure....

Great Pick..... Grand Ma Ma for sure played PF for us though..
Sprewell was playing SF then

Sprewell wasn't a small forward, but played it for us and played well. I'll go with Spre.

No love for X-man? Or was he a PF?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Shooting Guard!!

Played SF as a knick so he was our SF. I like dGlen Rice but he wasnt as good with us as he was with previous teams.

I disagree. Houston was the SG, Spree was the SF. But, your thread so your rules.

My non-spree list?

Wilkins
Johnson
Harrington
Mason

You know I gonna spin wit it

Understood. I mean, SF for the Knicks has been pretty much a swing space. I mean, Glen Rice would be considered a SG by the way he played, but he is a SF. Mason and Johnson were more PFs than SFs. Wilkins was more SG. Harrington might be the only real SF (and he seems to play more PF here).

Gallo & Wilson are both well on their way to being the answer to this question very soon

You guys could also say that Alan Houston was a small forward if you're calling Spree a small forward. So then Houston would be our best small forward.

But it's got to be Larry Johnson. Anthony Mason is more like a power forward to me, but now that I remember, it was Charles Smith in that role, right? It's a tricky question. Without a doubt, all things go well, Gallo will be the answer to this question.
