"When you're not performing well, you just kind of beat yourself a little," Duhon said. "I think I just stop being aggressive. I don't think it's so much a confidence. You just stop being aggressive and look to pass even more instead of making the defense respect you. So for me, it's all about being aggressive."

Does this mean Chris Duhon will start beating his chest and snarling at the refs?

Maybe he can work on his dunks.

Respect is not gained from just shooting the basketball Chris

Duhon sucks.

We're using a backup 25mpg player as a starter.

We have no other options.

Not much else to say.

Wow and Walsh passed on Jason Williams and Jamaal Tinsley (both of whom are better starters than Duhon), so that we can watch this crap all season. Why don't the Knicks trade for a PG. There are plenty of teams that would take Robinson off our hands. Hell, Rafer Aston or Kenyon Dooling would be upgrades. Go get a PG Waslh who can play consistently. I am tired of the good 1 game, bad the next 3 games act that Duhon does.

Hit Me

For all the so-called "controversy" surrounding Nate, Mr Robinson brings something that every excellent basketball team (of any era) needs... toughness. Certainly, when amplified with chest bumps and primal screams it can easily be interpreted as false braggadocio, or taunting... but who else watched Nate absorb a savage hit on Monday that knocked him to the floor? ... Did you catch how he just dusted himself off and not come out of the game for medical attention?

Chris would be smart to not worry about the hard hits and just drive it like he means it. Then again, some guys are simply have an aversion to contact and it shows.

Howard Eisley, come on down!

Being aggressive? Chris Duhon is a career 8 ppg on 39% shooting. He is what he is - which is not good.

He's capable of playing better. He has played better at times. But he's so wildly inconsistent. His play directly correlates with his confidence in his 3 pt jumper it seems.

He's a C-Level Player. He talks in aspirational terms. He cannot speak affirmatively. His entire repertoire is suspect.

He should say "I need to play better, but I can't. I need to work harder in practice and not miss f---ing layups. No defense will respect me as long as I am missing layups. I would drive the ball, because I am fast, but I am afraid of contact. I would draw a foul but I don't have a pencil and paper. I would love to be on the Knicks next year, but, honestly, I don't even know if I am good enough to be a B-squad player since I don't play defense. At least Coach D'antoni is showing the rest of the league that he is loyal to players who respect him. A bit foolish if you ask me, but he's stuck with me, so at least I can still get laid from time to time as the starting PG of the NY Knicks. So, I am going to keep partying while the partying is good, cause, well, nothing lasts forever."

Until he figures out that he needs to incorporate Gallo he will not succeed. Watch on pick-and-rolls with DLee. He will force everything to Lee even when Gallo's man helps out. The defense has figured it out, he will not pass to Gallo.

He is all we got for now. We know what he is not.

Jason Williams is a back up and tinsley was exiled for a reason. It sucks, but if we were 19-21 and Sessions was not that much better and we lowered our cap that would suck also.

At leaset we are not panic trading.

Duhon should shut up. Obviously last year was a fluke and he came back to earth. He shown time and time again that he isn't a 30 minute starter. He is putting up the same stats he did in Chicago except now he gets 15 more minutes per game.

I Love LA

The Lakers game will be an excellent measure of how much "confidence" Chris brings to the table. Unless the Lakers have jet (Go J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!) lag, the game will be played at an uptempo west coast pace. Duhon will either assert himself by hoisting threes or daring to drive the lane.

Advantage - Randy Newman

Footnote: Gallo needs a monster game on Friday. David Lee will be severely tested inside with Gasol and Bynum tag-teaming him down low. Expect to see Jordan Hill receive first quarter minutes about 8 minutes in.

Word. It isn't fun watching Duhon's suckiness. But we didn't make an impatient/rash move to upgrade. Slow and steady will payoff for us. If a good trade presents itself, Walsh will do it. Just not a marginal trade.

At times, though, I want to bitch slap him for constantly blowing off Gallo. Duhon seems to hate young, good-looking Europeans who can shoot the rock, be confident and have some sack.

He is more into bunging girls and parting...so some good-looking European girs will make him going better that Galo.

WTF?

"bunging girls and parting"?

What is certain is that when Duhon continues to misfire, he is not bringing any added value to the Knicks. His assist numbers are average and the unforced turnovers make me cringe.

Nate never sleeps.

i think nate will have a big game against the lakers. he loves the stage and loves impressing kobe.

but the way these knicks are built, they seem to go as duhon goes. when he was playing well in december and the first three games in january we went 12-6. he had confidence to start the rockets game, hitting a few 3s, but it really seem like he lost it somewhere in there and never regained it.

sadly, until nate learns how to use a pick and roll to create a shot for someone other than himself, this team needs duhon. i don't know why duhon can't find gallo. it's maddening. sigh.

Duhon is a backup PG whose starting. But he's not terrible he's a low percentage shooter but he doesn't shoot much - he averages 8 shots a game. He takes almost 60% of his shot from 3pt range, some of them from way too far, but he's shooting over 35% which is ok.

His assist to TO ratio is very good 3.26. He's been slumping terribly but he's not terrible.

The team is badly constructed and has only one player who I would call an adequate backup PG and he's starting. Even if we had two adequate backup PGs who could split the minutes and allow the coach to go with the more effective player on any given night the situation would be much improved.

We do not hate Chris, we just wish he was someone else's PG. He no longer, (or has he ever had) that fire. The fire that comes from taking your man to the hole, or taking a charge, or playing tight "D". Right now, we need to scourge the D-league for a PG making a couple of hundred dollars, barely making a living playing ball. It will be easy to get a hungry player!
