The trade rumors swirling around Nate Robinson had appeared to calm down in recent weeks, but Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports has reported today during an interview with Tanguay and Zolak on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, that he has knowledge that the C’s have made an offer to the Knicks for the ever controversial guard Nate Robinson.
Does anyone know if this is accurate or what the offer is?

I have no idea what offer they could have made because I couldn't come up with a single trade including Nate alone and Nate with JJ that works. Do they have a trade exception?

If Nate goes to the Celtics, they're the favorite for the championship, he would give them youth, hops, spring, and lots of energy because Eddy House looks like he's asleep all the time.

Finally! Tony Allen and Shelden Williams for Nate works. Both are FA's after the season. Maybe Nate for Williams, Allen and a #1?

The Knicks would have taken a pick and Williams expiring in that Memphis trade but Nate vetoed it. I think he would love the opportunity to play for a championship contender so an expiring and a 1st round pick might do it.

No single player works. It took me a long time and going back again to find this SWilliams/TAllen for Nate trade to match the salaries up.

Yeah it was a pain. I would do a SWilliams/TAllen and a top 20ish protected #1 in the upcoming draft(right now the Celts pick 28th). If I am feeling saucy like I would ask for their #2 also. I would cut Allen and SWilliams right away. Nate for a late #1 and a late #2 and not having to take on contracts may be kind of fair when we may lose him for nothing soon.

Now to find if something works with JJ.....

This is an opportunity, small one I'm sure, but still an opportunity to try and pawn off Jeffries. There isn't a much of a market for any of our players, but if someone really wants Nate, I would
really try to attach Jeffries. I'd much rather have the additional cap space than a 25th pick in the draft.

Imagine a day when the inclusion of Nate takes you over the top.

Imagine a conversation with KG and Nate on universal healthcare, or Captain Crunch is better or not with Crunch Berries.

What would an organization like the Celtics want with Nate?

I mean, Nate is the most unprofessional, immature basketball player on planet earth --- no scratch that --- of all time! He has no redeeming qualities and as a matter of fact shouldnt be allowed to even walk the streets amongst the good people of this nation.

This must be a bogus rumor!

Anyway, looks like the Celtics will grab a young, dynamic guard on the cheap. Walsh better demand they take JJ with them. What the hell are we going to do with a Tony Allen, Williams, and a pick in the high 20s?

In order for the Celts to take Jefferies you are looking at like a 5 for 2 trade.

Shelden Williams, Tony Allen, Brian Scalabrine, Eddie House and JR Giddens (ALL FA'S) for Nate and Jeffries works.

It is going to be very hard to trade Nate. He is a base year player as per realgm. That means his trade value is 50% of his new contract. You would need to trade him to a team with cap space this year and take on a salary that is half Lil Nate. They would need a 3rd team to make this work with the Celtics.

Alan Hahn confirms the rumor....but its still just an offer. I'm quite sure people have called about him. Any playoff team out there can use a Guy that can open 40pts off the bench at any given time. We been fans of the NBA to know stranger things have happened.

Knicks need a shake up.

The same reason why someone wanted Zack Randolph, Crawford, and others who left the Knicks. I'm a die hard Knicks fan but I hope Nate does leave and go to a better team. We are always so quick to throw someone under the bus. Nate will grow in this game and I hope he goes someplace where he is appreciated because I hate to say it but next October we will be sitting without Lee or Nate and no Lebron James.
