KNicks need to dump JJ contract and its going to cost us.

Dlee, JJ and Wilson for Bosh. OR do we make a run for Bynum for Lee and JJ?

OMG, who fills the void if we move Wilson? Lebron!!!!!

Bosh to the Lakers for Bynum is good biz for both teams. Lakes steal another player and Toronto gets some decent value for him. What does the Rockets have for Bosh other than McGrady who expires?

Game of chicken.

Bosh can decline any deal by refusing to resign thus dictating his destination if he chooses. He says NY, then Toronto can walk away with a pretty good package. Its a big price to pay, but quality costs.

there's also a possibility that many folks don't talk about, the 2010 free agents re-sign with their teams and have a handshake deal with the gm that if things don't look good a year from now, they will look to move them when their value will still be the same or better.

Lol, you would say something like that. Truth is, Bosh is counting the days 'till he leaves Detroit, North. Cry Now...

BTW, I thought this was a reported rumor, not old ass Nalod muttering to himself again...

how does this work: If Lee gets traded (and it would be noted that he has full veto rights) to a team that is over the cap like the Lakers, can they go over the cap to resign him? Cause he would lose his Bird Rights or whatever.

No way Lee would accept a trade unless they have a deal for him to sign in July.

bosh leaving toronto is a pick 'em but i personally think he'll leave. but no player (outside of possibly lebron) is going to pass up the extra $30 mil. nobody. so he either stays a raptor or is gone via sign and trade. whatever the case, even tho he's a great player, i'm not a huge fan so i won't miss him that much. and from his perspective, if he leaves toronto, then it has nothing to do with basketball unless he goes to join wade or lebron. no other team can offer him what the raptors can. (and i'm not just talking about contract).

DJ, you still on that Raptor kick? I thought that went out with Poke-Mon cards and Sub Prime Debt?

DLee Bird rights? I forgot about that. Good point.

Bynum is a good alternative so long as Pau can stay healthy for the duration.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I am of the same opinion as you. The reason Lee has a veto is because his Bird Rights would be lost in that trade (whereas if he simply signs and trades to a new team, he can still get that 6th year on the contract).

You know I gonna spin wit it

suprisingly...yes. to the point where i hope the knicks get lebron so i can really rally around the already underdog raptors.

I am of the same opinion as you. The reason Lee has a veto is because his Bird Rights would be lost in that trade (whereas if he simply signs and trades to a new team, he can still get that 6th year on the contract).

Another poster (name escapes me) informed me that Lee would receive Early Bird rights to his new team.

Players who qualify for this exception are called "Early Qualifying Veteran Free Agents" in the CBA. A player qualifies for this exception essentially after playing two seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent (see question number 25 for details). Using this exception, a team may re-sign its own free agent for 175% of his salary the previous season or the average player salary, whichever is greater

I think its correct but am not sure.

I think a pairing with Yao Ming offers Bosh quite a bit from a basketball standpoint.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Why not? Ming plays close to the hoop while Bosh shoots his sissy-jumpers from about 15-18 feet!

as long as the ball goes in the hoop, does it really matter? D Lee's been shooting his sissy jumpers to Allstar consideration this year & helping us win ballgames.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
