I'm on the fence with this story (if true)but, leaning towards tmac. T-Mac's contract would pretty much guarantee we have the $$ for 2max free agents. At the same time, I'd hate to see this kid develop into a beast on some other team.

keep in mind this came out of the NY post (also saw it on hoopshype) so, it could be vescey ejaculating crap from his mouth like he usually does.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

My internet's going haywire on me right now but it's on Hoopshype - said something like "Houston wants either Jordan Hill or Toney Douglas for T-Mac." I might do it for TD, not for Hill. I'm not giving up a lottery pick for a guy that's nothing more than a half-year rental. Sorry. No way.

Yeah, this thread presumes that including Hill or Douglas would be enough to have Houston take back 2011 salary. The article suggests that the TMac trade would involve Harrington, Hill and that the knicks want to include Jeffries, but that Houston doesn't want to add 2011 salary.

Hill/Duglas is just a kicker. What is teh body of the trade?

Funny - but the quotes I think I have ready from the Houston people is 1. - they don't want to take long term money back but 2. they think the contract has a lot of value as it could save a team a lot of money.

Those are exclusive- so clearly, if they trade him, they are taking a longer deal back, but hoping to add talent.

sorry. Details....They want Jordan Hill in any trade involving McGrady. Apparently Walnutz still has a swollen member for Hill :)

Tell them they aint getting hill or td. Remember something here, they dont know the status of Yao and IMO he will always be an injury waiting to happen(kinda like tj ford). If they get hill hes gonns be their center long after yao goes back home. Like someone said I too would hate to see hill become a beast somewhere else.

Where did you get the idea that Hill was holding up the trade? Is that a RealGM headline that just grabs attention?

Here is the action paragraph about Hill:

According to the source, Morey is eager to get either rookie, Jordan Hill or Toney Douglas, in a T-Mac deal. Neither Hill and Douglas is in the rotation and may not get in this season. Hill and Douglas are behind undrafted rookie Marcus Landry.

How about the next paragraph:

Still, the Knicks are pushing Jared Jeffries in a package in their attempt to also clear more 2010 cap space. Morey, too, is trying to clear cap room and has told the Knicks he's not interested in Jeffries. In fact, according to the source, the Rockets don't think Al Harrington would crack Houston's rotation.

Fact of the matter is that Hill is probably not holding up the trade, but the 2 sides want similar things....cap space. I'm still wondering how you got the impression that Hill was holding up the trade.

If a GM is looking to grab either Hill or T-Doug without taking back one of our contracts, then they can keep on steppin'

Im more than content with signing one max in the offseason, then another one in the following offseason. No need to kowtow and make a panic move to one of these a-hole GM's looking for a steal.

it was a figure of speech. He's holding up because Walnutz will not add him into any such mix

I'm not sure that the benefit is not worth the risk. I mean that 22million off the books along with what Walnutz has already shed.

Where in that article did you get that impression? You took the statement that the Rockets wanted Hill (or Douglas) plus that fact that the deal was not happening to mean that the Knicks didn't want to do the deal.

If the Rockets wanted Hill, Curry and JJ for TMac do you think Walsh would say no?

They want Hill they are also taking Curry. I would do Curry Nate Cuttino and Hill and maybe 3 mil for TMac and Lowry.

take Curry and they can have both Hill and Douglas.

Hill is going to be a good player. I like him alot. But I can live with that cost.
