keys to the W: play strong, you gotta bring it. jeffries will lock down the opposing team

prediction: should be easy victory. the rockets, they overachieve there, the knicks are a much better squad

most likely to succeed: gallinari and jeffries!

from true hoop:

...But eventually we started watching Jared Jeffries. Once that started, I never did anything else. It was natural -- to watch Jeffries was to understand the Knicks' entire defense, and most of the Bobcats' offense.

Jeffries guarded various different Bobcats, but more than anything he was empowered to roam wherever the action was, and did. If the Bobcats were shooting, the uber-long Jeffries was there, annoying the shooter.

And he has a crazy knack for it. If the Bobcats missed, or turned it over, Jeffries always seemed to be there, sometimes even reaching all the way around his own teammates who had better position but were nonetheless less effective. It was almost comical how he starred in nearly every good thing New York did on defense, and made things very difficult for the Bobcats' offense, but almost never earned a statistic. 10 rebounds, six points, two blocks and a steal, isn't bad, but it's nothing compared to what he did. In fairness, you should probably triple his steal and block numbers.

Not to beat a dead horse, but if there's a case for plus/minus or some kinds of stats the measure defensive contributions, Jeffries is it. The boxscore said he was so-so. I say he was this game's clear MVP.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

Easy victory? The blob is sniffing that glue again.

Knicks lose, probably in a blowout.

Orange, your thread doesn't rhyme, and you're looking for us to blow out a 20-16 Western Conference team... tell your mom to hide the red-bull and smarties man.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

JohnWallace, it is a non rhyming title. But I feel something in my soul, man, I feel it in my bones. The Knicks are just playing too damn good for the Rockets right now. Last 10 games, Knicks 7-3, Rockets 5-5. Plus the Rockets have been overachieving all year. The Knicks, 1-9 start aside, are playing better ball. Look for the Rockets to fall off drastically while the Knicks continue to surge.

Your blobness has bones? I thought you were one of those gooey shapeless things that ooze orange venom!
As for the Knicks beating the Rockets...anything is possible on a given night but its a fairly low percentage bet. But if you want to put one of your eight remaining lives on the line...go OBM, go OBM, go!!

Rockets strength of schedule 0.575. Knicks = 0.425. Rockets have been playing tough teams and winning basketball games. Of course I want the Knicks to win, but I think we're going to be dishearted if we expect the Knicks to run away with this like we did the Pacers. Anyway go Knicks!

No, I have bones, but goo all around them. And I WILL put one of my lives on this. I got one vested in the playoffs, one already gone from the Bender incident, so this is the one of the remaining 7.

Strength of schedule?? Alright, but tell me, JCHAN, how strong are the Knicks over the last 1.5 months?

Rockets come back home and get a W against the Knicks after a 3 game skid.

The Rockets are better, but they've been struggling lately. Battier admitting the starters aren't bringing it.

Exactly, basketball, like life, is all about the momentum. The Knicks have FULL MOMENTUM going into this game. The whole tri-state area is rooting for them, watching them from back home.

The Knicks *CAN* win this game by beating HOU at their own game.

Non stop hustle and defense.

This roster tends to lose seemingly winnable games, especially the ones where the team has "momentum." Fortunately, I think the Rockets are a better team. And fortunately, the Knicks aren't playing a team as horrendous as the Nets because playing a team like that equates to an automatic loss when this roster has "momentum"

Just looking for a competitive game where they have a chance to win at the end. The Knicks chemistry is at an all time high for this group and we're not bad on the road. I'm hopin for a hot shooting night which would make us tough to beat. When we're hitting it opens up everything else.
