JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Tie between Allan Houston and Patrick Ewing.

This is a good question. My favorite player would have to be Patrick Ewing from Georgetown, but in three years I change this to Gallinari

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

No doubt, John Starks. After that, Ewing. Then Oak.

Note: I used to say Clyde, but he lost my respect over the past few years for his atrocious announcing style. Blech. Wish he would just retire already. You think Lebron is going to be happy to have that crap style announcing his games? No, me either.

Is this some type of sick joke, Moonangie?? Clyde is the best announcer in the NBA as far as team announcers are concerned.

Ed Lover's version was pretty good too.

SG:
I loved John Starks. Prob my all-time fave. Dumb as rocks, but a tough bastard for a little guy. Warrior.
Brought it EVERY PLAY, on both sides of the ball. Was a joy to watch and route for.
I wish we had a player like him on our team today. It would make our shooters that much better if someone was
slashing and penetrating.

PG: Derek Harper. Best floor general I believe we've had in my lifetime as a Knick fan.

C: Of course Ewing was Ewing and did so much for us. As a fan, I appreciated him more on D than O. While he was steady and efficient on O, sometimes dominant, I think he also stagnated the offense a bit.

SF: X-Man. Too bad we got the broken down version.
<edit> - until very recently I don't think we've ever had a good prototypical SF.
Latrell was really a SG, and I'd say Mason was really a PF. Ok, maybe LJ was a SF.
We've had a whole bunch of scrubs playing SF that I could never get behind, like Newman, Smith,
TT, and many more whose names don't even come to mind any more.
TT could have been great, but then we'd never have gotten him in the first place. He frustrated
the hell out of me. If he just raised his arms on D like he gave a **** and grabbed more than 3 RPG,
I'd let it go, but man...
Finally, we have a couple of guys on this team that have potential to really be strengths from
the position: Gallo, Chandler, and Harrington.
Funny, that now we're targeting Lebron. The ONLY position I think we're ok at.

PF: I'm leaving this one open. Oak was steady as they come, but I don't think he's all-time great worthy.
I expect someone from the 70's should fill this slot.

Never saw the 70's teams so I can't comment on them.
