- last year starting with steph, yeah he might have been crazy but he had an awesome preseason, was in the best shape of his career and had a great attitude to begin with. DAntontoni made it personal benching him in the first game without even telling him. Not only that but losing any value that culd have been had in a trade (expiring contract)

- This year with the benching of Nate, and Curry...ok its not so much the benching as it is the lying to us about playing his youth. He told us the main reason why he didnt sign AI was because it would have been detrimental to the youth. Yet he brings in Bender and plays him right off the bat. Bender has not played well imo he has turned the ball over has not played any d...and yeah hits the occasional shot. But I dont see Jordan Hill (ie youth) Toney (youth) or even ok curry (still somewhat youth)

I dont know its just me ranting but isnt it time to restore order in Knicks land and continue down the path that all the other coaches get into here.

Maybe if this time around a good coach is allowed to keep his balls and his job at the same time, we will stop being the laughing stock of the league.

It takes quite a bit of brass to call out the coach for not playing you when your team just went 8-3.

Its like, "hey coach, this seems to be working, but you should mess it up because I'm a slam dunk champ."

MDA had Nate all of last season and the Knicks stepped up and gave the kid one more chance with a decent contract. The little sirvant don't change. For MDA to install a culture of winning he must be a bit of a prick.

Eddy played in 4 games and did nothing. HOw many times this guy going to go to Tim Grovers all you can eat buffet and to go thru the motions claiming fitness? You got a choice, either Eddy gets called out or the coaches look like fools.

forget devaluing these guys. GM's and coaches around the league know what and who these guys are. Paxon at the bulls must have been giddy to have Isiah foaming at the mouth for Eddy when they were offering the guy a retirement package. Instead they got expirings and Noah and Ty Thomas.

MDA is doing what strong coaches do. INstall their will on a young team. Larry was fired for Isiah's sins.

Steve Kerr knows alot about strong coaching (5 rings under Phil Jax and Pop) and was on him about changing his style from day one and ended up firing him.

If not Nash and Amare were ready to leave.

They have since adapted the more open game.

Sometimes you need luck to win a Championship.

Avg 58 games a season for 4 years MDA was the best coach in the regular season during that stretch. Shit happens. Bad refs happens. Starks happens.

Steve Kerr im sure got an education the last few years learning on the job and making mistakes.

Not many teams have won titles and not all ex-championship coaches are avaliable.

I'll take MDA and his track record and run with that before I back Special Nate and Fat Eddy and their track records. There is not even a consideration.

Mike is a good coach. However Marion, Amare, Joe Johnson, Steve Nash, Barbosa is not a tough team to coach especially with Nash keeping everyone happy.

I don't quite know what he is doing here. We had a nice month. Will it continue. It's very doubtful. Bender player is counter productive. I like the guy, but we have other needs. Developing Hill and getting rid of Curry.

Kerr was critical of 's style when he was a TNT analyst. Phoenix staying the course was not going to get them pass the Spurs which is why he tried to swap Amare for KG when he first got there and later traded for Shaq.

Actually Pop was. Spurs avg'd 59 wins a season over that stretch and won 2 titles to boot. Avery's Mavs also avg'd 59 wins per over that stretch and made it to the Finals.

Starks happened because Riley refused to pull him. He didn't become a streak shooter in the Finals. His entire time as a Knick was spent eithe rextremely hot or extremely cold.

Bad refs happen cause they are all on the take allegedly.

every athlete who plays with a chip...
his own hypocrisy (it was more important to put Steph in his place vs run the ball club only to find hisself needing him in Milwaukee 3 wks later. Steph in an instant went from the team pariah who couldn't get 5 minutes at home in the season opening blowout of the Heat and benched the rest of the way because had to play the guys that were going to be here to being offered the starting 2 as a way too entice him to come back and help cause was in a jam personnel wise due to trades...
