Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph exploded for 32 points and 24 rebounds in a win over the Nuggets on Sunday night.

Memphis point guard Mike Conley said that he knew Randolph was good, but not as good as he's been lately.

"I knew he'd be good. I had no idea it would be like this," Conley said. "Shockingly, people here were down on him. But he's 100 percent different than what people thought."

Randolph downplayed his performance after the game.

"I tried to go with the flow," he said. "I was feeling good. I was being aggressive the entire game. I go into every game thinking like this. I just go out and play hard. That's all I do."

Randolph is averaging 19.1 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

grizzlies at 12-15 now. players in the nba have talent and can help teams win games. and alot of "fans" come to final conclusions about guys and stay stubborn about it.

The stats that amaze me is Zach is averaging 19 pts 11 rebounds and Gasol is averaging 15 pts 10 rebounds. People said Curry and Randolph couldn't play together because they both play down low but obviously the problem was Curry all along because Gasol and Randolph are both feasting in the paint.

one of the few guys around here that liked Zachs game. When guys like TMS were looking to actually trade down (would have cost us Gallo) just to trade Zach's contract I called them out. I said he would do well under MDA and he did. The guy can play. Yes.. he's mental, but he can ball plain and simple.

I'm glad we moved him and are looking for a Lebron caliber player next summer, but Zach is a good player. Too many people just look at the money or personality issues he's had but I think he wants to win and has played on some tough teams to be happy on. Memphis has a lot of size and some very talented young players. If they are coached well they can makes some noise.

PLEASE STOP -- you are comparing a GASOL to Eddy Curry.

Mark Gasol is a big time player that can post, catch, finish and pass -- he's a big Andrew Bogut.

Memphis has a nice thing going right now -- Zach is playing very well alongside Gasol but Eddy Curry is a joke and he and Zach would never have worked.

I'm sorry --- I didn't read your comment correctly -- I think we are agreeing on Eddy.

Good riddance to Zach. The Grizzlies can have his 32 and 24 along with a side of punched eye sockets, strip club bills and an entourage that threatens teammates.

I'll take the cap space any day.

It's always a matter of the right match between player and situation. Zach has talent, no doubt, but the Knicks were not a great fit for him, imo.

That was a funny post. I totally agree, it doesn't matter how good Zach plays now that he's on Memphis. His best contribution to the Knicks was freeing up salary cap space for our signing of Lebron.

Zach played well while here. Both D'Toni and Walsh have said that If it wasn't for the money/cap issue, he'd still be here and I believe
the Knicks would have a winning or at least 500 record.

I really never understood why people were so against him. Last year, he was our best player and the dude had worked on being more of a team player. He still was a bit of a black hole, but the guy shot a decent percentage and would fight hard for rebounds at both ends. Everyone said the Grizzles were crazy for getting him, but IMO he fit exactly what they needed.

Remember he was shooting 3-pointers so good and really seemed to have turned the corner. Still, he had to go.

& i stand by it... i'm not a flip flopper like a lot of the rest of you are... when we traded for Zach i said it was a huge mistake & we'd be sorry about it later... when we signed Big Turd i said it was a moronic move when fans like you were telling me i was overreacting... when we traded for Antonio McKnee i said it was a horrible risk to take when fans like you were telling me it was a smart trade... try looking in the mirror before calling other people out next time fish.

btw, if we'd traded down to get rid of Zach we still could have had Marreese Speights, Roy Hibbert, Javale McGee, Courtney Lee, JJ Hickson, Mario Chalmers, DeAndre Jordan, etc. to choose from... remember u telling me there'd be no other good prospects left after 16? yeah.

ok.. I just went to look in the mirror. Zach is still a good player and trading down just to get rid of him would have been stupid.

As for Jerome James I never even came close to endorsing that move, and was always opposed to it (despite who great he is).

McDyess was a big risk and one I though made sense considering the Knicks roster. They took a shot at adding a 20/10 frontcourt player when they already had Houston and Spree. That team won 37 games getting nothing from McDyess. If he played like he did in the preseason the Knicks would have at least been in round 2, possibly further. Didnt work out. Camby was never healthy and Nene also missed a ton of time.

show me once where i ever said Zach wasn't a good player fish... i said it was a mistake trading for him cuz we didn't need that contract on our books when 2010 should have been our main focus all along... u told me i was a fool for focusing years down the road & that we should be trying to win now... since u wanted to go down this road...

Randolph always excelled as the big fish in a small pond. There was no point in ever trading for him to begin with...
