Professors typically have to write justifications for exceedingly low grades or class averages... so while I'm not saying it was because of that, the professor being lazy and wanting to get home for the holidays early is within reason

You could have told me this before exam so I don't stress. Still, I do very well.

Sometimes, deserving students are placed at a disadvantage where they have to prioritize classes and balance school and employment just to get by. While other 'students' have everything handed to them and therefore the ability to focus on nothing but school. So it's case by case, Rook.

Sometimes you have to prioritize your classes, unfortunately, in order to do well in more important ones and also make time for the employment that payed for my education. While some 'students' have the luxury of being able to go to school, dorm at school, and focus on nothing else but school, still others have to make sacrifices in order to commute to school and just get by, sometimes with less than a 4.0. So you really have to take it case by case.

My oldest is the busiest person on the planet. If you tried to handle her schedule, you would crumble. She tried that line of thinking on me to explain a B in math. It didn't go very far. She has had to learn early how to manage her time and still fit in having a life.....and no, you can not date her, she's out of your league

Ive had plenty of professors that admit to curving grades like that. They have certain expectations from the higher powers and if they dont meet them then it looks bad. If they have to curve your grade up in order to look good, they will do it in a heartbeat.
