Just a grumpy beat writer or someone way more familiar with Bosh than we are?

I'll be honest I have league pass but don't really watch many Raptors games.

Trade the constants of this near-constant misery, especially Chris Bosh, who was taken out of a crucial stretch of Wednesday's embarrassment in Orlando because he was, to use Triano's word, 'tired.' (The all-star, as much as he is putting up great numbers on a bad team, is 25 years old, couldn't lead a Cub pack, plays defence like it's optional, drags around a massive knee brace and, come summertime, will be asking for a six-year maximum-dollar contract worth more than $130 million. I say trade him to the team that thinks that's a good bet.)

I have been saying for awhile.

Bosh would and could be a nice complimentary player. If we somehow managed to lose JJ and Curry's contracts and were able to resign Lee and add Lebron and Bosh who would complain?

I am NOT in favor of throwing $17mm at Bosh and letting good players (namely Lee) walk. He's a really long and talented offensive player. You can overpay for him AFTER we have Lebron and resigned the one homegrown player worth keeping in Lee.

Agreed. You could actually argue that Bosh has much more talent around him than we have on the Knicks: Bargnani, Turkoglu, Calderon, Jarret Jack. Then again none of those guys are known for their defense. Neither is Bosh.

Pass on paying near max money to a guy who doesn't give a **** on D.

Opportunities come in the NBA to get great players at discounts (KG) or sign real franchise players Lebron (2010..fyi) Chris Paul (2012) or keep a great you drafted cuz your team sucks (Durant).

For the same reason I'm not all that down with paying max money to Amare or Melo.

I would not give him a max salary. Any ideas which teams might??

While I agree with you Fish - I'm just gonna say...

If someone came to this board 3 months ago and took a "fans that watch him everyday" perspective on Gallo and looked at one of the many people bashing the hell out of him here, it would have looked pretty wrong. I'm not saying that what's being said about Bosh is wrong, just saying, I don't really trust any fans lol.

well Gallo didnt play every day so there were no fans to watch him. Also we are talking about an established guy.

If the money is tight we can just do so much better. I would rather have Lee + Brandon Haywood then Bosh.

If I can afford Bosh + Lee I would rather have Amare, because he's got a better shooting % and has played center in MDAs system before. A Gallo/Lee/Amare frontcourt is very big and skilled.

I wouldn't go near this guy either. Camby/Farmar would cose about 14 million and solve two needs. We just really need to move Jefferies at all costs.

I like Camby, but if I could afford a little more I would shoot for Brandon Haywood. Camby is a little too old to bother with

Chris Bosh might not be worth the max but he is going to get paid this summer. I don't think Rashard Lewis deserved the max but he got it.

Some team will overpay him I just hope it isn't us.

As Fish said... you overpay for Bosh if you get LeBron, if LeBron isn't in the cards, then I don't want Bosh.

I don't see us going after traditional centers like Camby and Haywood though I admit Camby isn't necessarily a traditional center.

MDA wants a pick and roll big and another big that can knock down 3s in order to spread the floor.

If Lee is the pick and roll big then the big that will play along side of him is going to have to be a guy that knocks down perimeter shots.

If Gallo is our future 4 then the center is going to have to be the pick and roll big. Though I think Gallo should stay at the 3 and play some at the 4. As his length would cause problems especially if you have another 4 and 5 with quality length as well to play along side of him.

If we were to go after Lebron then Lebron would probably be the primary pick and roll guy. Or he can play the role of the PG and orchestrate the pick and roll with another big himself.

when orlando foolishly pays rashard lewis all of that money, no way do guys like bosh take less... in reality lewis, bosh, amare are not max players. Not even close... max dollars should be reserved for true franchise players.... honestly, bosh and amare at roughly 13-15 mil is about right..

These are the very things that worry me about both Bosh and Amare and also Lee for that matter.

I'd prefer Rudy Gay as our secondary guy --- purely because he's YOUNG, HEALTHY, EXPLOSIVE and fits in an uptempo system.
I'd rather give Rudy big - long term $$$ than Bosh with his KNEE BRACE and Amare who has had more than one major injury already.

Lebron and Rudy Rudy --- GET ER DONE --- DW.

i like rudy except..he has kinda ball hoggish tendencies and initially came into the league with a rep for kinda drifting in games. word out of team usa training camp preseason was that he was pretty impressive.

and like you said he's young so i'll take rudy over amare/bosh/joe johnson.

that and it'll be fun making "Gay" jokes.

Not that there's anything wrong with that as long as you're not making Alba posts.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
