I know its only a few games (winning) but a few things are becoming clearer.
One is Lee is continuing to develop as a player. He outplayed Aldridge who is a longer more athetic player. He's god springs in his legs, and is scoring one on one and with his back to the basket. His 15-18 footer is also looking very smooth.
Douglas is a defensive nightmare for the other team. Even in short spurts he aggravates opposing PGs.
Gallo has real star potential. He's got the cohones to hit big shots. He's a two way player and 50 games into his career he's got a suped high BB IQ.
Knicks have some pieces.. plain and simple.
I know Harrington likes being here but the guy thats really helped turn things around is Hughes. He's the long defensive two player with SG size and PG skills. Health has been an issue in the past for him but he's playing like an all star right now.
If we can trading Harrington for draft pick(s) I would still do that.
If we sign Lebron (or even Joe Johnson) I would turn around and package JJ or Curry's expiring contract with Chandler and that aquired pick for Ok4 sometime over that summer. Then your lineup looks like this:
PG Douglas
SG Lebron
SF Gallinari
PF Lee
C Ok4
bench: Hill/ Hughes?
