Yeah would be sweet for us. We have a good relationship with the Lakers, buying their pick last year. Donnie is well respected. They should lean on Phil's hubris, see if he is the coach that can make JJ look good. Phil would love to stick it to D'antoni as well.

Who? I played with trade checker a little bit and tried to get it to work. It might work but I wasn't able to work out a scenario with players that the Lakers would be willing to give up just to move a guy. Morrison's contract expires after this season and the Lakers are over the cap next year. Why would they take on Jeffries and double his salary for next year to get rid of Morrison and a piece that is a contributing part of their team? The Knicks might be able to get Morrison but Jeffries will not be moved in that deal.

The Lakers are going to give up three expiring contracts so that they can get rid of Morrison and take on Jeffries and pay him double next year because they are over the cap?

Any team that's going deep in the playoffs could use a defensive player like Jared. We get on him because of his non-existent offensive game but that wouldn't be a problem on a team with real firepower already. Are those expiring contracts (all three were DNP-CD last night) going to contribute to the Lakers defending their title more than JJ would? Even Q rich is looking better when paired with a Dwayne Wade.

We send them $3mil to cover 40% of Jared's Salary next year. They get the best player in the trade.
