Yes. I've wanted this to happen for a long time. The next step is trading him for a 2nd round pick.

the next step is to fire MDA so that we can teach these players that acting like a knucklehead before, during, after games & in practice is acceptable behavior... we did it with Larry Brown, we mine as well stay consistent.

I think this is the good message to FA class that Knicks is not a joke any more.
Yes we may be a cruppy team at a moment... but no jokes any more, and no jokers...

I think it is deserved but I am not sure how D'Antoni communicates with his players that he is frustrated with. I am glad that he si holding him accountable for his lack of professionalism but I am not sure that Nate had any idea this would happen. I don't think Nate knew this was coming and because of this he may not have been given the opportunity to change his behavior.

We're not privy to previous conversations between Nate and MDA. I am sure that he has had discussions with him in the past.

Nate is Nate- an electrifying dynamic scorer who is a true competitor who can have moments of greatness, but also a guy who makes bonehead decisions, takes questionable shots,is inconsistent on defense and as a distributor of the ball, and a potential hothead who can pick up a technical at any time in a game.

Nate knows how MDA wants him to play- he is simply unable to do it on a consistent basis.

He's such a talent. Its one thing to watch a washed up Marbury get benched, but Nate is in his prime and he's ruining his own career. It's shocking that he doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Must have some crappy people around him.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Martin - I agree. It's time for him to grow up, period. He could help this team if he kept his ADD in check. This has nothing to do with other free agents coming or not coming to NY. As Lebrons once said "I can win anywhere, I'm that good."

This is sooo true. Hope D'Antoni has better luck, god knows we need some descipline on teh team. The good thing is Nate doesn't have the "star" power BeriBeri had.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Remembeer coming from Phoenix D'Antoni's discipline philosophy was players are professionals and should behave like professionals. Veterans are supposed to police the locker room.

MDA gave him a chance to change! This goes back to last year! MDA didn't just spring this on him, he's been talkin to him about his behavior since last year. In fact his exit interview was about him being more professional. I love his talent hate his disposition. More importantly he stinks on D! TD is takin his spot and Nate is to blame.
