Yeah.

This whole "let's evaluate our young players" arguement is flawed.

When they play, they suck.

What's to evaluate?

Trade WHOEVER (except Gallo) to get us two max FAs. Doesn't matter who we get. Changing the losing culture around here is the first step.

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

That's great Briggs. Without admitting that the Kings and Knicks are in two totally different situations in regards to playing rookies and younger players then this argument is going nowhere.

The Kings play their young players and look to get them involved in the offense and the Knicks have Al Harrington shooting 6-19 and Chris Duhon playing 29 minutes.

Two totally different philosophies.

Gallo and Chandler have started many games and have played many minutes. They are not on the same talent plain as the kids from Sacramento.

I disagree about Gallo, Gallo is the kind of player that needs to touch the ball everytime down, but half the time he has guys like Hughes, Nate, Harrington just blatantly look him off. To me, when Gallo gets the rock, good things happen.

Chandler, I do agree with though - he just isn't that good.

evans makes their bigs better. sacramento is slowly, very slowly, building a team of working parts. really evans is the difference. we have nothing remotely like evans. if we had evans, aka a guard who could penetrate and draw attention and make smart decisions with the ball, things would be different, i think. gallo and chandler are decent 2nd options but they can't be the guys running things. maybe gallo could, but d'antoni won't let him for whatever reason.

crzymdups -- They don't even have Kevin Martin or Francisco Garcia available, they did not have Udrih last night and they were still obviously better.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

BRIGGS - You know what the difference is between our youngins and Sacramento's? Sacramento has been playing since the beginning of the year and has a PG that actually gets everyone involved. From Udrih, Evans in the beginning to SRod now. If we did the same and had TD, Chandler, Gallo and Hill all playing major minutes and they actually feature Gallo, I think the outcome would be much different.

The only flaw I see in Gallo right now is that he is too differential to the supposed vets in this team. It's tough to come into a team, let alone a foreigner, where he also has to adjust to culture shock and the unvet like actions by Dudu and Nate.

I mean, in the 1st quarter when it was still a contest, it was the vets that were walking the Kings to the basket. No D Lee was getting his numbers and felt like he owed the other team his numbers and let them get theirs. Dudu is poopoo. Nate is the Human Highlight Film in his own mind. Fishlips stinks of week old dead fish. Al tries but will only be truly be good if he had a PG that actually knows how to set him up (see Dudu). Larry is a pleasant surprise.

Who was exposed last night? Dudu, No D Lee, Special Nate, Fishlips and Al. I am really trying my best not to turn on Cocach Pringles but if this continues where our youngins don't get any play and he does not force his team to feature Gallo, I will have join the hate on MDA brigade.

today the post said that chandlers ankle has been bothering him, and I guess we can attribute his off play to that or at least part of the reason.. the problem with silly threads like this, is briggs only post them when the other teams players have a good game.. He would never have posted this the other night when donte green scored 0 points.. or when evans has a bad game.. NO, he is an opportunist when it comes to these things... this is briggs "MO".. how can anyone take these post serious?

excellent post. I agree with everything you said.. but you are trying to explain this to some posters with an agenda, as much sense as this post makes, it will fall upon deaf ears with guys like briggs... get ready for tomorrow night. we are going to hear how bad we missed by passing on ty lawson... book it...

I have watched most of the games this year. For some reason I have used the DRV to follow along. I have been waiting for some sign, some indication that of the four guys that will be here next year there is something worth being excited about, and there isnt.
Gallo: good shooting role player. Like a less athletic Toni Kukoc
Douglas: nice defensive player, I think he will be a good scorers also. DWs best pickup. Eddie House on offense and Marcus Banks on D
Chandler: Desmond Mason who takes about five 3's a game too many
Hill: could be really good, way too little data to judge.

Bottom line is so far these are ok role players to put around Lebron James and Chris Bosh. Only problem is if we dont get them we are a 20 win team next year (also)

"winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs
Bottom line--our young players were exposed last night
