outside of duhon, who can MDA go to as a locker room control-arm, as his guy? you take duhon out, who is your guy in the locker room?? you need a guy, you need an extension of your philosophy. duhon may not execute, but i think he is getting time for entirely different reasons. right or wrong, it seems to be necessary until we get some real leadership at the 1 spot. at least the guy acts the part, and at this point that's all we can hope for.

what about Al? he wants to be a leader this year, go to him... at least he's putting up numbers & contributing to the success of the team... or u can turn to Hughes, he handled not playing like a professional & is now playing some great basketball for us... he's been great defensively & is orchestrating the offense better than anyone could have expected, plus he's got plenty of years under his belt so the younger guys should be able to respect him.

Duhon has been horrible, where's the accountability for his lack of production? does it send a good message to the young guys to see someone get playing time when they're not producing just because they're teacher's pet? i don't think it does... just cuz he called out his teammates early in the season for not being prepared for games doesn't mean anything if he's not gonna be prepared to play at his best either.

i'm not saying u blackball Duhon for the rest of the year, but until he starts playing better u have to start reducing his minutes & playing guys who are producing on the court... yesterday Nate was playing terrific basketball & ignited the comeback, but he still got pulled for Duhon in crunchtime... Douglas didn't even get a chance in the 2nd half while Duhon was going 1 for 6 shooting & Hughes was doing all the orchestrating... i've been a big defender of Duhon last season cuz i thought he did a good job for us considering what we were looking for when we signed him, but this year he's not doing the job & he knows it.

Neither Hughes or Douglas have the BB IQ to really be that guy. Both of them are better players than Duhon, but they really are scoring guards in the truest sense of the word.

Think of it this way. We just lost a close game against the Celtics and in games like that the extra number of mistakes that both Hughes/TD would inevitably make, would sink us more often than not. If Duhon was playing at the same level as the 1st half of last year we'd be in better shape. WHY? cuz he did more than just shoot better. His decision making was better too and he made the game easier for the other Knicks. The problem is that it seems that that Duhon was a mirage and we may never see that guy again. I hope he gets it back, cuz we need that guy.
