Frank Asshola says Miami is hot for Iverson....if that's true, why is it ok for Iverson to play in miami, starting next to Wade....but a total catastrophe if he signs here in NY for the rest of the year?

Forget Frank, this is a little more objective

"Iverson's name has also been linked to the Orlando Magic, Charlotte Bobcats and Miami Heat. Magic starting point guard Jameer Nelson is out four to six weeks with a left knee injury. But Magic general manager Otis Smith has said he likely wouldn't look at Iverson to fill that spot right now, because it's so early in the season and Nelson should be back relatively soon. Miami, with Dwyane Wade, appears to be a bad fit, and the Bobcats are already well stocked at point guard with Raymond Felton and D.J. Yeah so I guess this is the official countdown.....Knicks finally get Iverson, 10 years too late but dude can still play.

Yeah, he's not going to any of those three teams.

Wade's not trying to share shots with A.I... that would turn into a powder keg real quick.

Jameer is coming back in a few weeks. Why panic? Thats a championship squad, they're not messing with no A.I.

Bobcats? Play for Brown again? Get caught up in another playing time controversy with Augustin and Felton? Thats Memphis all over again....

NY is where he's going. Its a huge stage and both he and the organization have nothing to lose.

Bottom line with NY....they don't have their first rounder...they need to win and make a push for the playoffs. There is no insentive to play the youth and lose games if there is no possible Lottery reward at the end of the season....

So yeah yuo sign Iverson for the remaining 71 games

And you cut him at the first sign of trouble. Plus the business side of the equation is net positive. No downside really.

I guess they will end up getting him, still not sure I like the move. EnySpree -- We need to play the youths so that they can develope and gain valuable experience, the stupid lottery pick should have zero relevance in our thought process.

Iverson is not much better tham marbury in terms of putting in the work to elevate his skill set in a declining body.

He relied too much on his athletic freakishness when he could have worked on some aspects of his game. Iverson could have preserved his body at the same time.

If AI wants to be our steve nash thats ok but he is not a "winner" type franchise player.

if he was, he'd bee elsewhere or suck it up and go play for the lakers or celts.

Valuable experience is great, but it needs to be winning experience. Going 9-73 on the season doesn't make our youths better.

Iverson may not be the Answer, but this franchise needs a little shot in the arm. It may be a slightly Isiah-like move, but it's not like they're planning to offer him a four year contract.

That being said, if they were going to sign him, why not do it already? Why wait? I think Donnie may be jerking us around yet again.

WHY IS IVERSON NOT SIGNED ALREADY!!! Walsh needs to wake up from his nap and sign AI and cut Duhon. We need to cut Duhon because if he is still on the team MDA for some unknown reason is going to give him 15 minutes a game. WHy, I have no idea, but trust me it is going to happen.

I think my rooting for the underdog sympathy is turning into something psychologically unhealthy, because the more everyone dumps on Duhon, the more I hope he proves everybody wrong and comes out of this slump of his.

I've been a Knicks & Mets fan for way too long.

Iverson has a lot left in him. Im all for it, It cant get any worse than it is right now anyways. Anything beats Dudu, Walsh needs to get it done.

because wade would dominate iverson. wade is a superstar on a level iverson even wasn't on in his prime.
