I looked at a lot of video of Iverson at Memphis. He's not the player he was with Phili but he's still really good.

Curry looked amazing physically. He looked like the player people around here were willing to trade first rounders for

i actually agree. you may have been right about curry getting back to 14ppg and 6rpg. if he can do that in like 25 minutes a night, we will be much improved.

one thing that should not be overlooked is that curry put the pacers in serious foul trouble - i believe granger's 5th foul came trying to stop curry.

i really hope the knicks don't drop the ball on iverson.

I think there is no question Curry won the game for us. He immediately put the Pacers frontcourt in foul trouble, which forced Granger to sit. He needs to hit more FTs and cut down the turnovers, but he is a HUGE upgrade over JJ and Lee manning the center position.

Curry would turn next season around if he could just play this well for a month or so in order to make it possible to trade him.

If I'm Donnie, I would actually package one of our young guys with Curry to get him out the door. We could potentially go into next year with only Jeffries and three out of Hill/Gallo/Douglas/Chandler. We would have much more cap room than anyone, enough for two max players and a mid-level.

Does any of you really care if we lose one of those four, even if its your favorite guy in order to basically guarantee that we get two Max players?

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I'd rather put N8 in there. He is nearly as young as those guys, has amazing athleticism, can score 20+ ppg in the right setup, and though he will need some psychiatric help, he has more than enough game to be a chip in a package with a real asset like Curry.

No way we trade Gallo (unless he has arthritis in his back), Chandler or Douglas. Hill maybe, but I don't think it makes sense except as a last resort to dump Curry's paper. If Curry plays like he did last night, that shouldn't be necessary.

I agree with JW44, I think you look to deal Curry to the first available suitor, presuming they're willing to give us expiring contracts and possibly a pick as well. A team that needs front court help may be interested in the slimmed down version. Getting him out the door should be priority #1.

Iverson, I don't see why you wouldn't sign the guy. He's clearly an upgrade over Duhon. Just move Duhon to the bench. This team is woeful, getting a go-to scorer would certainly help. His style of play fits right in with shooting the ball in 7 seconds or less. If its not working just cut the guy! What is the risk? (other than a few million out of Jim Dolan's pocket)

CHILD PLEASE!!!!

I watched AI play in Memphis and he didn't look really good at any point. Now maybe that has to with the hamstring injury more than him being 34 with more mileage on his legs than 72 Ford pick-up.

Curry == yes he looks thinner but doesn't look anywhere near real NBA shape. The guy that played last night --- isn't someone anybody (except for Isiah) would throw a 1st round pick at.

That said -- I hope we sign AI and hope he adds some excitement to our games.

I'm also rooting for Eddy but basically so we can trade him. Not wishing him bad - just want to move him when we can.

I think clearly the offseason targets are Lebron and Bosh. I think we have a 50/50 shot at Bosh. If that is the case, I think you have to keep Hill as a young understudy and let Lee go. I would package Curry with Chandler and try to get an expiring contract, maybe a PG prospect, and a 1st round pick. I would then let all our FAs go except for Hughes and Nate. We go get Lebron and Bosh, and our starting lineup is TD, Hughes, Lebron, Bosh, and Gallo. That is a fairly potent offensive/defensive team. The only thing we would be missing is a big center to block shots and clog the middle.

I have no faith in what you're going to get from night to night with any of these guys let alone Curry. The cap space is the plan, so go with it, worship the space and do anything to maximize it. With the way this team plays, the idea of a clean slate is better than any remaining pieces with upside going into next year.

I'm a huge Chandler fan, but if Houston offered me TMac's contract for Eddy and Chandler or any deal like that, I'd jump on it. You can't gamble this close to the goal.

Same deal with Jeffries. I would package whatever anyone wants to take him on.

If I had to package prospects with both of them and go into next year with only Douglas and Hill on the books... I really don't care. The idea that you could pitch to three of these Max guys at the same time is much more valuable than any of the prospects we have based on what they've shown.

Just realize that Nate and Hughes have to sign the Vet min exception to make that possible.

Hughes won't get more than the Veteran's Minimum no matter where he goes. It will be a market FLOODED with players next summer, and tons of bargains will be possible. I think Toney makes Nate expendable in the organization's eyes. D'Antoni does not seem to trust Nate anymore. Nate was a non-factor last night.

The Knicks weren't a great team when Curry was playing at his best, but they were really missing that outside shooter. If Gallo can play like a man out there and hustle to get into spots the addition of Iverson can produce some wins. We play more games as is and a little confidence goes a long way.

This would be ideal if Nate/Jefferies were moved when they were supposed too.

**IF** they get Iverson, AND Curry stays healthy and gives you the nice scoring outbursts like he did last night the two key guys IMO are Douglas and Hughes. Those are the guys that we need to defend the perimeter and hit the long jumper. If we can get those things happening most nights the Knicks will be .500ish and pretty entertaining most nights
