Gallo & Hill played some good basketball tonight while most of the rest of these guys were stinking up the joint... anyone who watched tonight's game wanna tell me Jordan Hill shouldn't be seeing regular minutes in this rotation right now, or that Gallinari is still a Boki Nachbar clone? please guys, watch the games before u comment on these players & dismiss them as crap... you might be surprised at what u find.

oh & i gotta give a shout to Toney Douglas... i really like the way this kid plays the game... he's not about being flashy or being showy, he just goes out & plays hard.

i think once we get rid of the knuckleheads on this team we'll be better off... Nate needs to go, he's not the type of player u win with IMO... Douglas is better than him in every way in my view & plays much more under control & makes smarter decisions w/the basketball.

& hopefully after the trade deadline passes & MDA finally figures out no one in the NBA is stupid enough to take Ared Effries' contract off our hands, he'll play Jordan Hill for 20 minutes a night & let the kid show what he can do... everytime i see that kid hit the floor he shows he can score, get up the court & finish, & fight for rebounds down low... in 4 minutes he'll put up more production than Fishlips will for an entire game, it's ridiculous.

hopefully this offseason we finally bring in a leader who can whoop some asses around here & set guys straight... D Lee needs to get his arse reamed out for playing the worst defense in the NBA, there's just no excuse for how bad he is on D... & Wilson Chandler needs someone to smack him upside his head to wake him up & tell him mommy's not here to breastfeed him anymore... it's time to grow TF up & be a man Wilson!

Finally some logic!!!

Good post!!................. Not in a rush to see Hill play.... i actually like that we have a patient crew around finally!!

He did look great tonight though!........ Douglas slowly is getting his time and I'm sure Hill will too!

Gallo has played way better then I was even expecting and I'm def his biggest fan on here!! Wow can he Shoot!! And as he gets stronger and some respect from the refs he will be an unSTOPPABLE force in this league........... Other then Mayo think he will be best of last years crop!!

DUHON AND AL SUCK!!! No BB iq for neither of them!! Just dumb both of them and Duhon has now turned lazy too so he is totally useless!!

Wilson has lost a step but I believe he will come around!! If Lebron comes he is not needed anyway but hope he comes on and maybe we can get a pick for him!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

Hey TMS. I gotta admit. Gallo played with good energy tonight. He was very active on defense and as always his shooting was on point. I have been critical of Gallo but this game he came with energy and execution.

Player of the game award for the Knicks rightly deserved.

the way this kid defends is really surprising... because of how tall he is i keep waiting for him to get crossed over out of his shoes by quicker smaller players who try to take him off the dribble, but he holds his own & makes getting off a shot tough for anyone he D's up on... he's also got some active hands & long arms that he uses to tip balls & alter shots... he plays smart basketball w/a level of maturity that belies his young age... those years in Euro ball have really helped to mature his game IMO... of all the guys on this team right now i think Gallo is the guy i actually really hope sticks around for the long haul, cuz i can easily envision us winning w/that kid on the team.

What??!! Question their unchangeable belief that Gallinari and Hill were the worst picks in the history of the franchise?! Aren't you asking a little too much of some people?

I created a topic thread the other day about why Jordan Hill does not see more playing time. It is clear that he is a better post and help defender than Lee and he even has a better jumpshot. Once he figures out where he is supposed to be on the floor (which he still has not fully grasped), he will be our best option at PF. Between Gallo, Hill, and TD, I actually think Walsh has drafted a group of solid two-way players finally. Unbelievable. Players that can actually defense and also score points, what a concept.

i like what gallo brings but

kaleeena repeatedly blew by gallo and jackson froze him with hesitation moves for wide open jumpers. jax numbers are what they were cuz he missed alot of wide open shots the 2nd half but the guy did play the whole game straight.

its going to be a problem nightly.

mda actually let gallo coounter with his size and played him in the post but he only got like 2 or 3 touches down there.

Exactly, GS is the one team we should be able to post up with consistency, and Gallo had only 2-3 opportunities down low. Unbelievably, we really need Curry back and healthy if this team is going to compete. Hopefully, Curry found some balls since he has been away from the game and can come in with a chip on his shoulder and try to prove that he is not a complete waste.

Did a really nice behind the back drive on him, and got away with a charge at one point.

Watch the game. They have Gallinari sagging off his man down low, and if a team rotates the ball quickly enough to his original man, he has to come out quickly- usually to get a hand in the guys face. There were a few plays where his man did exactly what Gallo sometimes does when his man comes out to cover him- attacked the basket instead of taking the J.

A guy Gallinari's size- 6'10"- is going to have trouble on the perimeter guarding a quick 6'5" opponent on the perimeter, especially with a team that has trouble helping out on D. ...and Jackson was not missing against anyone. Kalenna was having success against everyone, yesterday, by the way.

I actually think Gallinari looks stronger and bigger than he did at the start of the pre-season. He is also getting down the court a lot better than earlier in the season. I have said this before- I think he will end up as a PF, a position where he will face guys his size. Once he fills out and hardens, he will be able to handle other PFs. He also knows how to box out, and looked very aggressive on the boards yesterday.

He does need some post moves. He should work on a hook and watch some Kevin McHale and Tim Duncan videos to learn how to play in the post, and use the most abandoned type of shot in the NBA-the bank shot.

I'm with you all the way bro. You know I wasn't a fan of the Jordan Hill pick but I'm praying he proves me wrong and last night he looked pretty nice out there. Gallo looked great, a nice double-double. Toney Douglas is Nate without the antics, I absolutely love the way this kid plays the game. Atleast we got something to show for a few bad years.

By mid-season, Gallo and Douglas should be getting about 35 MPG, and Hill 25-30 MPG, assuming that he can stay out of foul trouble.

The guy I am worried most about his Chandler, who has not been able to find a comfort zone this year. I have to believe that his injury is a factor, and he has not fully healed, but I just don't know.

I agree that Gallo will end up as a power forward. Once he gets strong enough, he'll be able to defend that position well. Also, as a 4 on offense, he'll force slower players to come out further than they're comfortable to guard him.

I'm also pleased with the way Hill is coming along. He's getting more comfortable out there. The thing I like about Douglas is his toughness.

cosign. Gallo will be either a PF or maybe even a center. He actually looks bigger than Hill out there. Once he adds muscle to his frame, he should be able to match up with most PFs in the league.

Why we are judging offensive potential for (gallo-Hill) against a team(GS) that plays recreation league defense is laughable. Golden State gives up a league leading 117 pts per game and the knicks only scored 107. Anybody who's trying could look good playing against them.

I guess we must continue to watch when the knicks plays the better defensive teams in the league who limits what you do best.

I did watch the game, he wasn't getting beat cuz of the rotation. he was targeted and iso'd at the top of the key with Kaleena and on the wing when Jackson was his responsibility.

Hill looked good last night, I was pretty impressed.

He was very active on the floor and was one of the few making an effort defensively. Yes, he had 4 fouls in that 3rd quarter alone, but he did some good things that shouldn't go unnoticed.

As far as Gallo goes, I still can't fathom why there isn't more of an effort to get him shots. They didn't look for him at all in the 4th quarter.
