Dude is not getting any burn in Portland. Any chance we get that guy? Is he any good?

Wilson/Landry for Bayless but would have to wait until Dec 24th.

Rudy Fernandez would also help give us a little size at the 2. Maybe Bayless/Fernadez for Chandler/Lee and Portlands late 1st or second round pick? Fernandez isn't getting any burn either.

Didn't DW try something like that but the Blazers didn't want to give up Rudy?

Portland would be crazy not to take Chandler/Lee for Bayless/Fernandez

Lee would have to agree to it though, and it would have to wait until Dec 15th, at which point Donnie and MikeD might be openly crying in postgame press conferences.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Guys, why could Portland trade for any SF/PF when they got like 10 of them on the roster?

Chandler would be a nice replacement for Batum and Lee would fit well in a big rotation off the bench.

They seems to have 10 guys at every position.

Outlaw's name seems to come up alot in trade rumors as well. They could look to move his expiring contract before the deadline.

I would offer Chandler for Bayless/Batum. I think he has serious potential and is really trying to find his game. Bayless would be a nice complement to lebron/gallo/hill

I don't think Bayless and Fernandez are available. Could be wrong about Bayless though, we may not be interested in him. Mike had him in a couple of years ago for a workout, then had a chance to draft him and didn't. I love Bayless and Fernandez though. I even like Travis Outlaw. I'd still try to talk to Portland to see is I could get something done. Our team needs a shakeup in the worst way and Bayless, Rudy and even Outlaw are all young attractive players..

I think we passed on Bayless cause we chose to go with Gallo........... They have 3 PG ahead of him right now so if I was Walsh I would at the least call and see if he is available.........

Dont see anyone on our team other then D Lee that Portland might want though!!

If we trade D Lee for a PG then do we get better or worse?

Its gonnna be a long year!!

We need a PG and Bayless and Sergio Rodriguez are the only PGs that I think might be available that has a lot of promise. I think both would play great in this system as they are both offensive players and they both play fast and like to push the ball.

This offense needs a PG that can push the ball and get easy baskets in 7 seconds or less.

I don't think that Bayless is going to be our PG solution.

So nobody notices that Blake and Sergio Rodriguez were ahead of Bayless last year, that Blake was ahead of him this year, and they went looking for Miller instead of giving Bayless the PG job or making him the backup? What does that tell you about how Portland views his progress as a PG??

Bayless is still 21 years old. He doesn't suck.

News: Bayless saw time in his second consecutive game after not playing at all before that, scoring 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-5 FT) to go along with four assists in 18 minutes.

Spin: Coach Nate McMillan has turned to Bayless to man the point on the second unit since both Steve Blake and Andre Miller have shifted into the starting lineup.

Looks like they might be trying to raise his trade value.

Yes, that goes both ways, you don't just ditch Chandler because the rest of the team is messed up. He's not a great player, but he's a playoff component if you get the the pieces around him to make more sense. This team is completely up in the air right now as far as defined roles, and Chandler's a player that if you tell him to do A,B,C he'll get it done, if you say, just go make a play, then he's going to get lost out there.

Ok, what if you tell him to be more aggressive and attack the basket more...does he get it done? He's 8-9 from the stripe for the season. Even the Rooster gets to the charity stripe more shooting 15-17. Harrington is 38-44 and is by far the most aggressive player on the team. I thought the name of this offense was 7 seconds or less. We need a guy who can ATTACK....someone like Bayless. I would trade Chandler for Bayless. Bayless is a competitor and can't stand losing. We need some of that. He can create, attack, score or draw the foul. We need a PG who is going to attack. I think Chandler is a good player, but Bayless would fill a bigger need. OTOH, I don't know if Portland would even want Chandler so this is probably a non-starter

yeah that is an awful trade. i don't understand the infactuation with fernandez at all. was it because he participated in the dunk contest? still he is no euro brent barry. he is currently shooting 38% and 27% from 3 and watching his minutes dwindle nightly.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

They don't really run plays for him like that for some reason. The Knicks spacing is just effed because the PG can't break anyone down.

Bayless will be fine. He had a hard time learning the point as a rookie, but he's playing better now.
