You're a millionaire not a homeless wino. What is going on? Just stop drinking before games, and maybe after games...or just altogether. Because you're drowning the Knicks along with your perceived sorrows.

Stop making excuses for him.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I'm no lawyer, but the word libel keeps popping up in my head when I read this.

Claiming that a guy is playing like he is drunk is one thing, making a claim that he he drinking prior to a game is something else entirely. Saying that a player is drinking before games is not your "opinion."

I am not making any excuses for the guy, just pointing out that you are treading on thin ice.

Woah, I am not trying to libel anyone. Should I delete the post?? I just took my partly-joking observation of his gameplay and took it too far I guess.

We all know he's not drunk during games.

Think about how you might play basketball if you were hung over... It'd prolly look a lot like how Chris Duhan plays. Seriously. We've seen what hes capable of when hes alert and full of energy. But then there are nights like last night where he is just SLOW as hell, and damn near half asleep. I honestly think we may have another Vin Baker on our hands. SMH damn shame

Actually, you might want to check out the legal definition for libel.

Not saying you should delete a post, just pointing out that words on the internet stick. They can be googled, and they, and the person who wrote them, can become associated with a person's name.

Definition of libel 4: Libel per se describes statements, which are widely understood to be harmful to a person's reputation. For example, referring to an individual as an alcoholic or criminal, or any description, which would lower the reputation of that individual in the eyes of others. These words are harmful and libelous.

Hey, hold on now. I am not saying Duhon is drunk. All I am saying is that Duhon is playing like he is drunk. I am not saying he is drunk, just that if he were drunk, he would be playing the way he is playing. Oh wait, maybe I am saying he is drunk.

Duhon looks awful. I would be surprised if his lifestyle wasnt playing a factor in his poor play. You can add my name to the libelous comments too!

Hey, let's not just stop at Duhon. The entire teams' effort reminds one of a party that went on too long. Little energy, no pride. Prepare for a long season. Down by 31 points, to the Bucks by halftime is pathetic.

Given the legal definition, I don't think I am slandering Mr. Duhon's name. We all agree that he is sucking it up this season. And I was one of his bigger supporters last season and this pre-season.

There is something wrong with the man, and I agree with izbyx in that it is likely his lifestyle. Jokes aside, I cannot speculate on that. But it's obvious that he is not all there. Did you see some of those passes, shots, defense? If a person suspects from just watching a game on TV, there is SOMETHING wrong. I don't know. Best wishes to the guy I know he can do well, it's a question of whether he wants.

You CAN say he sucks without fear of legal retaliation.

I would also think that you can also say what TheGame said:

Hey, hold on now. I am not saying Duhon is drunk. All I am saying is that Duhon is playing like he is drunk. I am not saying he is drunk, just that if he were drunk, he would be playing the way he is playing. Oh wait, maybe I am saying he is drunk.

Any lawyers around here to give us a definitive answer?

Duhon plays like crap. He plays like he has a hang over. He needs to step up his play or ride the pine.

This reminds me of when Keon Clark admitted to boozing during half-time of games. He actually played decently.

orangeblobman is in big trouble now for starting this thread. Duhon's lawyers are gearing up for a lawsuit as we type.
