IF LBJ says anything but YES two seconds after FA midnight---we need to have a Jet waiting to pick up Bosh with a Max contract in tow.

maybe he can teach Hill something about being a pro basketball player.

lanky---check
being 6'10---check
same weight---check
dreds---check

They really do resemble each other (srs), its just that Hill has no talent in comparison, maybe Bosh could help him out, just by going against him in practice everyday.

he started off real hot last year, too, and started talking about mvp and whatnot. he was humbled after a few weeks. maybe this year, with the awesomeness of Bargs, Bosh can sustain this pace.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

After 2 games? How about 4 years and it appears as if he is taking his 22.5+10+ to the next level and he's on his pure prime.

Chris Bosh is a good player but he has never been a "Carry a crappy team to 45 wins" player. When he did it he had good help. He's not Wade or LeBron or Kobe. Few are though.

If we sign Bron to the Max and Bosh came for every last penny we could offer? I'd be quite fine with that.

If we sign Bosh to the Max and end up with Joe Johnson for every last penny we could offer? Eek...I don't know then. I guess be happy with 2nd round playoff appearances?

I guess it's better than what we have today that's for certain.

i'd easily sign Bosh to the max if we can't get Lebron or Wade (if we could even get Bosh for that matter)... even if we just have money left over to re-sign D Lee to an extension & have to wait til 2011 to target someone like Melo, i think that's definitely the way to go rather than not doing anything if we can't land Lebron or Wade... a team of Bosh, Lee, Gallo & Chandler can be respectable at least in 2010 & if u throw in a Melo to that mix, u'r looking at a very good team that can easily contend in the Eastern Conference for years to come.

Sometimes I wonder if Melo is the #1 player we should target given Mike D's system. I don't know how well LeBron would handle it. The whole - Chuck and play limited Defense - thing. I think Melo would be amazing in his system.

So if you're saying we could sign Bosh, keep Lee, and sign Melo the following year? Then, sure, we're onto something. A very big something.

i think Melo would be an excellent fit in MDA's system just like u mentioned... if u can bring in a role playing shotblocker like a Chris Anderson type player (maybe Camby could be signed for cheap at that point) & put him next to Bosh, Melo, D Lee, Gallo, Chandler & whoever we can get to play PG for us, i don't see how any Knick fan would be unhappy w/that... even better if u can somehow trade Chandler for Rubio this season or next.

If you're bringing his 4 years in the league, then yeah, if you want to max him out and add a PF version of Allan Houston, go for it!

Me, I'd rather continue to suck until we can get a real franchise center piece. I don't think Bosh has proved to be one worthy of max dollars.

Watched the Orlando/Toronto game today and the announcers were saying Bosh just asked for a trade. Weird, just a couple of games into the season and a game after he scored 37, 38 pts or what ever it was...I think he might be pissed off that Colangelo just said recently he may not be worth the max. for them in the off-season...Stupid comment by Colangelo if you ask me - you just did a pretty good job of re-tooling the team around Bosh for this season. Now let it unfold a little and save the dumb comments for another time. All you say there is he's our best player and we'll have to deal with that in the off-season when the time comes...That's it. Now he went ahead and created controversy by getting his best player all ticked off. Stupid..

too bad we don't have the assets to land a Chris Bosh in a trade & TOR is in our division, so that makes any likelihood he ends up here pretty much non-existent... at least via trade.

Fin--I think that you are absolutely right on there--he probably made Bosh mad and there was no reason to say that publicly ---unless he already knows that he will have to trade him in fear of losing him for no value.

I know right? Crazy. If you're Colangelo, you just keep that stuff between you and all your lieutenants right now and just play out the season. He still is their best player...Look at Donnie with Lee this off-season -- all he kept saying was how he wanted him back even though he wasn't sure what was gonna happen..

guys...bosh did not ask for a trade. those orlando announcers are idiots that don't know anything. you're reading way too much into the colangelo thing. if bosh leaves toronto, it's b/c he doesn't want to play in canada.

I was also watching that Toronto-Orlando game yesterday and I have to say that Bosh was very impressive. He showed an intensity on the defensive end that I haven't seen from him up till this point. If he can keep that intensity up for the rest of the season, Toronto will be a very tough team to stop.
"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

Hey as good as Bosh was yesterday, and he was excellent again, how good and DEEP is that Magic team? Man. No Carter yesterday. And also no Pietrus. Yet they still go into Toronto & pretty much handle the Raptors & won the game (they were up pretty big earlier until the Raptors got it closer and made a game of it). They're finally getting some decent contibution outta JJ Redick too - this guy stepped up big with 27 yesterday. It took him a little while but since last year I've noticed he's playing more and more like he belongs in the NBA. And to think this guy might not even play most nights when Vince, Pietrus & Lewis are back..I betcha MDA wishes he had this kid Redick shooting the rock for us right now..

I really think that's the team to beat this year guys. As good as the Lakers and Boston are and as good as Lebron makes that Cavs team look, this Magic club is the best team in the NBA imho. That team had a phenomenal off-season...I love how they put that team together. The only thing you can say is that they're a little inexperienced but that doesn't even hold water -- this team went to the finals last year. And I think they're hungry to get back. They don't even have Rashard Lewis playing yet...I'd love to see Orlando/Lakers this year...I think the Magic beat 'em this time..
