Why would anyone pay homage to The Rooster when we all already know with complete certainty that Donnie Walsh so obviously butchered that draft[/sarcasm]

He is coming along faster than I anticipated, despite the fact that physically, he is still behind where he was during last year's SL.

He still has a lot of room for improvement, but he just might be causing a few posters on UK to reconsider his game, and what kind of player he will become when he is a finished product.

We got a good one now, and he is only going to get better.

What pleased me is that he was starting to use more of his mobility. As defenders stick more closely to him when he's behind the arc, we can expect him to do that.

this is all great, and I am really excited.

But during the other game (Bobcats), there was a shot of him lying down and they mentioned, I think, how Steve Nash would do the same thing for his back.

Game 2 of his second year, and he is already having to take extra care of his back?

Is it overreacting to be really kinda alarmed by the visual and thought of this???

i love gallo and want him to succeed very badly, but in the back of my mind i fear for what you're saying. if you pay very close attention and look at his reactions to, for example, a ball at his feet. he has a very stiff motion as he bends down to get it, like someone trying to protect his back or unnaturally control his motion. but, maybe i'm wrong. i really, really hope i am, because this kid has MVP talent.

Now that you mention it, I think you guys may be on to something. He's nothing like last season, but he does look a little stiff out there.

What I love is how he reads the game so perfectly. Moves, shooting, assists... He does it all.

I am very impressed by the speed he is coming along.

Tell me how you can stop a 6'10 guy from shooting from that far??? I mean, didn't see that type of performance since Reggie, and the guy was a veteran sharpshooter.

Honnestly speaking and no kool aid drinking, I'm sure Lebron would certainly love to play with a guy that would make teams pay 3 pts for double teaming him.

I'm sure he's gonna be special, glad we got him!

Remember, 30 points in his first ever start. (MSG home opener no less)

Maybe we won't hear as much Anthony Randolph/Brook Lopez whinings anymore.

If Gallo was wearing another uniform, Gallo would be exaulted as the next Dirk and the usual suspects would be killing Walsh for not drafting him. But since he's wearing the blue and orange, he's good but.....its only been three games. He's good but.....when he bends over to tie his shoes, he looks stiff. He's good but........I saw him laying on his stomach on the sideline. To sum it all up; Knicks = dumb management who cant do anything right. Rest of the league = smart and get every good player and diamond on the rough.

Gallo played a great game. The crazy part is that he was actually more of a mid range type of player in Euro, and not even a 3pt specialist. There is still a lot more to see from him. I would like for him to pull up for jumpers on his drives sometimes, though he seems to get fouled when he drives all the way so I can't complain. But if the paint is packed rather then driving into the double or triple team, pull up for the jumper.

Also when the Jason Kapono's of the world are guarding him out on the perimeter. Someone has to make the adjustment. Gallo should pass the ball back and then position himself on the block to post a guy like him up down low.

I also love how the players were constantly looking to get him the ball. Hughes provided some veteran savvy for a night. Adding more organization to the offense. Props to him for being ready when his name was called. I could just imagine when we actually get a star quality PG. How much easier they would make the game for Chandler and Gallo.

Frankly, I will be disappointed if I read anything more about Eric Gordon or Brook Lopez in the comments section.

The Knicks passed on Karl Malone and took Kenny Walker. Get over it.

And while we’re at it let’s not get too crazy about the 8th pick not playing yet. I have no problem with waiting on a 6′11 athletic forward to develop. Hill will have a very long career here.

With all the talk about leadership and the direction of the franchise, what is clear is the fact the Mike D’Antoni wants Danilo Gallinari to carry the mail.

The coach wasted little time but inserting the prized rookie (which I consider him) into the starting lineup and the kid did not disappoint nailing 8 threes.

I guess we don’t have to worry about why he was lying down the other night in Carolina.

What I have observed about Gallo has been the fact that he is too unselfish and often defers to the veterans, much like Eli Manning did when he first became a Giant. But it was a game in Philly a few years back where Eli broke thru and led the team to a road victory. At that moment I knew that this would be Eli’s team regardless what Tiki, Shockey or Strahan had to say about it.

And so did Eli.

I believe that Gallo now is ready to step forward and be the franchise and all the players, aside from maybe Al Harrington who is a pure fit as 6th man moving forward, need to defer to the rookie and make sure the offense runs through him. He should take 18-20 shots per game and have the ability to create.

I think we’ve misinterpreted Gallo’s inconsistent preseason in terms of not being healthy, I truly believe that his hesitation was based on respect for his veteran teammates.

They need to understand, though, the future of the Knicks rests on the shoulders of number 8 and he’s ready to show NY, like Manning has done, just how impressive a young leader can be.

It’s his team now.

Soon he'll add back to the basket post moves and then he'll be unguardable.
Big guy he'll shoot over or drive past them.
Small quick guys, he'll post them up.

Gonna be fun to watch him grow!!!

I honestly see him helping broker peace between the Israelis and the Pakistanis. Maybe not this year, but remember, he's only a rookie.

yea, now teams have to play his three point shot. I mean the kid is not missing from out there. He took young and kopono off the dribble a couple of times... Also that block on young was nice... his length is going to give a lot of teams problems when you combine it with his skillset..

randolph is on the bench and when he comes in he gets clowned by the announcers..

Lopez is a solid center.. nothing more IMO.. I would take him on my team for sure, but won't lose sleep not having him..

not for nothing but if you give Steve Novak the green light to shoot 16 3's, you'll get similar results.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!
