This draft was vastly vastly under rated--you can see some stars already coming out. Most people thought it was like 2000 but clearly that is not true

Yeah I know... when Hill and Douglas are really developed it will look real good for the Knicks. I am surprised you feel this way.

That is the first line of defense in the excuse market.

who are the stars, briggs?

specifically the stars we passed on.

i really feel like we needed to address the PG situation and it hurts that jennings, ty lawson and teague were all sitting on the board when we whiffed on hill.

i could see that coming months ago... alot of u guys were sleeping hard on this draft... i ain't no draft expert but i watched my share of college ball last year & some of these kids are way more talented than people gave them credit for... Chase Budinger is a prime example of a sleeper that will make people eat their words this season.

I'll trade you Gallo Chandler Hill and Douglas for Mcgee and Jordan today. Ill put Jordan at C and Mcgee at PF and let them play.

EwingsGlass, McGee is much much better and more valuable as a player today then our guys are.

We have drafted terribly, period.

Gallo, if he's good, will be like a Korver the way it looks now. Why do you take Korver so high in the draft? It just defies logic.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Unless Gallo blows up over the next 2 years and performs better than the following players..looks like we screwed up a high pick.. AGAIN

Guys who look legit:

Eric Gordon
Brook Lopez
George Hill (Popovich calls him his favorite player..no joke)
Mario Chalmers

Guys who look like they have some promise (in order of my preference):

Jason Thompson
Anthony Randolph
DJ Augustin
Courtney Lee
Roy Hibbert
DeAndre Jordan
Marreese Speights
Javale McGee

I hope by the end of the season we can at least put Gallo in the same sentence as Eric Gordon and Brook Lopez.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

If you say that those guys above are better than Gallo, then it means that we got the worst player we possibly could have out of all the 1st round choices after ours

Should have traded down in both drafts.

He didn't say that. I would say that it is too soon to tell with Gallo. Let him play a full season before trying to fit him into that list. He said he hopes he is somewhere between Gordon and Lopez. Just take a wait and see approach. Jordan and McGee may turn out better. They may turn out worse. Need time to tell.

Gallo just went 22 / 6 last night & showed some prime shooting from beyond the arc... IMO he's got just as much potential to be good as a lot of those guys on your list, if not more.

anyway, this thread is about this year's rooks, not last year's

McGee only played 1 min last night. Clearly he is a bust.

who the F said McGee was a bust? i'm not of the crowd of idiots around here who called Gallo a bust before he ever played a damn NBA game, & i don't do that for any other prospect either.

my bad for getting uppity... i just get a kick out of everyone who rushes to judgement over our own prospects but gives other teams' prospects a ton of patience to grow into their own.

Well, seriously don't forget that we have two second rounders (both likely high) in this next draft. You know guys will slip, but we all know that management can't draft, so what is a Knicks fan to do?

Hopefully we draft at least one talented guy out of those two picks or perhaps those two picks plus a player will get us into the first round? In a deep draft it's a possibility.
