Oh yeah, baby!!!!! I just heard the same news from one of my boys. When I picked up the phone he just said "You got your wish- ya boy is outta there."

YES LORD!!! Hallelujah!!!! I guess that means Chaney is as good as done too.

Now I just hope Isiah Does not let Dolan push him around.

Associated Press
NEW YORK -- Scott Layden was fired Monday as president of the New York Knicks and Isiah Thomas was hired to replace him, a source told The Associated Press.

The move comes after New York missed the playoffs the past two seasons with a roster largely assembled by Layden. The Knicks are 10-18 this season, and recent speculation centered on coach Don Chaney possibly losing his job.

Instead, the odd man out is Layden, who replaced Ernie Grunfeld in the summer of 1999 after the Knicks were coming off an appearance in the NBA Finals.

The team scheduled an 3:30 p.m. ET news conference but would not specify what was being announced. An Eastern Conference official who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed Layden was out and Thomas in.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

This is a great day to all NYK fans out there. I just want to say that we have suffered so much even though we have our differences this has to be a day that we all must be all on the same page. I am so f*ing happy. I only dreamed this day would come and now it has.

This is great news! I know we cannot expect Isiah to creat mirracles, but it is a move in the right direction.

Layden out, good news. Zeke as GM? Well, players respect him, his hands-off style might appeal to rookies and FA's later on down the line. But, is he a dealmaker? Can he successfully move off any of these bad contracts before 2007, or is he just there as a PR move from Dolan? Time will tell.

At the very least, Dolan finally responded lke a real owner. About time, Dolan! Thank you for finally recognizing that winning has to come first, and that Scottie's moves have produced a bad team at a high price. Someone in that organization got through to the boss.

Can Thomas swing a deal to get us a backup SG or better SF option, get rid of one our excess forwards and PG's? Good luck, Isiah. This team needs a balanced lineup with some heart and chemistry. You have your work cut out for you.

hey, can anyone detail the moves Isiah made as the Toronto GM? I think he drafted Camby and Mighty Mouse, but did he also draft T-Mac and trade for Vince?

I know Knicks fans all over feel like the munchkins from the Wizard of Oz... The Witch is dead!!! I have a hell of a lot more to celebrate 2morrow when I go to the game.

Chaney's next. LOL I said all along that changes were gonna happen this year. I knew it!! Now let's see how the next few moves go down. Watch them trade the dead weight off the team, now (KVH, Spoon, Eisley, etc.) and bring the Knicks BACK to proper respectability.

It's about damn time!

Hey, that is cool & the gang, bruh! We need all the rodent repellant we can get. Maybe now we can get rid of the cheezy rats on the roster too.
